Bromyard Downs Campsite is a peaceful countryside site for families located off the A44, 30 minutes from Worcester. You will find 19 grass pitches for campers and tourers, as well as 19 hardstanding touring pitches, all with an optional 16 amp electric hook up. Surrounded by access to woodland walks like Bringsty Common, the local town of Bromyard (5 minutes), and the Malvern Hills National Landscape (10 minutes), there's something for everyone!

About the site


Set in scenic countryside, enjoy this peaceful family friendly site located off the A44, five minutes from the local market town of Bromyard, home to tasty pubs, cafes, markets, and festivals. With direct access to Bromyard Downs and Bringsty Common, and being ten minutes from the Malvern Hills National Landscape, it also makes an ideal base for walkers. This site is divided into two areas, the Quarry field and the Woodland field, both surrounded by trees. In these fields, there are a total of 19 grass pitches with an optional electric hook up for tents, roof and trailer tents, caravans, campervans, and motorhomes, as well as 19 hardstanding pitches suitable for trailer and roof tents, caravans, campervans, and motorhomes only. Please note that all optional electric hook ups are 16 amps. There are also no toilets or showers onsite, so guests must have access to their own self-contained facilities. Explore Worcester in 30 minutes for Worcester Cathedral, Sixways Stadium, Worcester City Art Gallery and Museum, and plenty of shops to browse. You will also find Hereford within the same distance, offering other attractions too. Dogs are very welcome onsite! Please ensure they are kept on their lead at all times. Raised campfires and BBQs are permitted here.

Please note that there are no toilets or showers onsite, so guests must have access to their own self-contained facilities. There are chemical disposal and motorhome service points onsite. WiFi is available around the office, but it doesn't cover the whole site.

Bromyard is a five minute drive away with plenty of places to eat, including Oaklands Cafe, The Queens Arms, The Inn at Bromyard and more. There is a Premier convenience store and a Co-op Food here, too. Just outside the site is the Caravan Club bus stop with services to Worcester and Worcester Bus Station, Bromyard and Hereford.

*Check-in is from 1pm-8pm. Check out is by 11am.

*Dogs must be kept on leads and supervised at all times. Please note that the site does not accept breeds/crossbreeds listed in the Dangerous Dogs Act (i.e. XL Bully, Pit Bull Terrier, Japanese Tosa, Dogo Argentino, and Fila Brasileiro).

*Quiet hours must be respected between 10pm and 8am.

*BBQs and fire pits are permitted but must be raised off the ground and attended by an adult at all times.

*Only one car is to be parked by the pitch. Extra vehicles must be parked in the designated area.

*Visitors must register at the reception and pay a fee.


Things to do on site and in the Bromyard area

Bromyard is a five minute drive away, or a 40 minute walk, with cafes, pubs, the weekly Bromyard Community Market, as well as walks around Bromyard Downs (you can also reach this directly from the site). Just outside Bromyard is Kingfisher Trout Lake and Cafe, for fishing enthusiasts.

The Brockhampton National Trust site is across the road from the site, where you can enjoy wandering around a medieval manor house, open parkland, and nature trails. Tours are available too.

The National Trust - Berrington Hall is also a 25 minute drive away, or spend the day at Croft Castle and Parkland and explore the grounds of an 11th-century castle home to woodland walks, lakes, and incredible scenery.

Staying here, you are well placed for peaceful countryside strolls hikes, or bicycle rides. There are walks directly from the site across Bromyard Downs with several local pubs within walking distance and along the Malvern Hills National Landscape, ten minutes away.

Popular points include Sugarloaf Hill, British Camp Hill Fort, and The Knapp and Papermill Nature Reserve. Eastnor Castle is also located here and is a great pit stop for families, as there's an adventure playground and junior assault course.

Worcester is a 30 minute drive, offering plenty of attractions to entertain everyone. Here, you will find Worcester Cathedral, Worcester City Art Gallery and Museum, Sixways Stadium, Worcester Woods Country Park, and many more.
