About the site

Located on a working stud farm, this scenic campsite enjoys amazing views of the River Wye. The shingle/stone beach provides somewhere for fire pits/BBQ, paddling and watersports, with access for kayaks, paddle boards and canoes. The site can even arrange for a kayak school to visit. For tents, trailer tents, campervans and motorhomes, there are 15 grass pitches. The pitches are non electric with no set boundaries, each allowing up to six people. If you want to leave the tent pegs at home, the site offers an unfurnished 4m bell tent for four, and a 6m bell tent for six. You will still need to bring all of your usual camping gear, like beds, bedding and cooking equipment. A furnished bell tent is available too. Sleeping up to four, the tent comes with a double mattress, single mattress, single air bed, bean bags and lighting. Bedding, linen and cooking equipment are not included. For extra luxury, the Sunset Paradise bell tent has a double mattress, twin air beds, bedding and linen. The furnished interior includes a dining table, chairs, cooking equipment, lighting and towels. Ideal for couples, the shepherd's hut has a double bed, single futon, bedding and linen. There is a small kitchen with a fridge, cooker, kettle, toaster and cooking equipment. Heating, lighting and towels can also be found inside. The furnished bell tents and the shepherd's hut both include an outdoor seating area with a gazebo for shelter, along with a private fire pit and BBQ for cooking. The Bow Top gypsy caravan offers a charming interior with a double bed, bedding and linen. There are storage cupboards, a seating area and a wood burner for staying cosy. Hay-on-Wye is also within a 45 minute walk or five minute drive, known as the "Town of Books". Enjoy waterside walks and riverside restaurants, a great place for a relaxing morning or afternoon. The camping pitches are dog friendly, allowing up to one dog to join you for your stay. Do note, the glamping units are pet free.
