About the site
A perfect escape from city life, this site is hidden away in a beautiful wildflower meadow set at the bottom of a 45 acre farm with a vineyard. Surrounded by ponds and ancient woodlands, this rural setting can be enjoyed exclusively by guests staying onsite. Guests have the option of non electric grass pitches, suitable for tents only. There are two handmade shepherd's huts to choose from, each with a fully fitted kitchenette complete with a sink, gas hob and everything you need for preparing meals during your stay. There is a breakfast bar for those who don't want to dine in the outdoors too. On one side of the hut is a nook fitted with a comfy double bed and USB charging points. On the other side of the hut is an ensuite with a proper flushing loo, wash basin, power shower and heated towel rail. Bedding, towels and toiletries are provided. Outside is a gravel area complete with a table and chairs for al fresco dining and a comfier seating option next to a fire pit, which also comes with a grill. Perfect for barbecuing! As you tuck into your BBQ feast, gaze up at the starry night sky. There are also three bell tents onsite. The accommodation is set around the boundaries of the wildflower meadow with private fencing or hedging to keep each option private. To make your stay extra special, purchase one of the food hampers. Choose from a cooked breakfast option or a BBQ hamper for meals in the open, each filled with locally sourced produce which guests can pre order. Guests are free to wander the meadows and woodland, and can even take a dip in the wild swimming pond if feeling adventurous! A footpath runs through the farm, past the vines and out through the beautiful High Weald landscape beyond. Alternatively, keen cyclists can take to Stone Pit Lane which is part of the National Cycling Network. The site is just 20 minutes from the coast, with the beautiful Camber Sands beach just a 30 minute drive away. Guests may use the provided fire pits and grill for BBQs and fires. The shepherd's huts do not allow dogs, but there may be dogs onsite as they are permitted in the bell tents.
