This was our first venture into caravanning and I doubt we could've picked a better site for our trip. The staff (Walter) was so helpful. Would recommend this site to anyone.

This is the first campsite I have ever stayed in and to be honest I was nervous about setting up the van. Walter was so helpful and put me and my daughter at ease. The site is beautifully presented and the showers /toilets are immaculately clean. The site is on an A road and that was appealing as I was concerned driving a van down country lanes!! But if you want a total rural remote spot this is not for you. But for me, it was a great introduction to caravanning.

Well placed site for exploring the Ribble Valley. Though off the A59 the site is set back well enough that you wouldn't think it is on a main road. I got a wonderful welcome from the owner who showed me to my pitch, went through all the details of helpful info (which was also provided by a leaflet). He was very friendly and he would definitely have been willing to help with anything you needed. The site isn't very big and very quiet. It has all the facilities you'd want including a laundry which for the size of site is great. Site rules were clear and quiet time observed... The showers do cost 20p for a minute or a pound for 5, but I was thinking about this and the costs to sites since energy increases. The shower itself was brilliant as so many site showers are luke warm so actually I didn't mind paying for a good hot shower (with temp controls to choose) and I'd rather the overall site cost be kept down and factor in an extra pound or 2 a day for a good hot shower, so I see this as a good solution in the current climate. The pitches were level. I would heartily recommend this site and will stay again, if I'm travelling solo as I was for this trip (and expect to do so again). Unfortunately my husband and I have 2 children so we can't use it for family trips or I'd bring them too! In terms of exploring there is lots to do and for motorhomes, who might want to get around, there are buses serving. All these details were on the welcome leaflet and further tourist leaflets in the laundry room/ potwash.

This site is perfect for us as we visit friends and relatives in Blackburn and Clitheroe. Everything is always immaculate, toilets always spotless. Walter and his wife are really friendly and helpful. Would definitely recommend it to anyone. Added bonus is that the best Indian restaurant in the country is right on the doorstep!

Had an amazing 2 nights at Northwood. Walter was very helpful and gave us some great tips as it was our first time in new Caravan. Site was gorgeous well kept and facilities were spotless. Two nice restaurants very near.

Stopped in at Northwood on our way back from Shrewsbury to break the journey to Scotland. Very clean, tidy and friendly family run site. Walter the host is a mindful of information of the surrounding area. Will certainly be back.

Nice little site, really well kept and clean, great facilities and friendly and helpful owners. Power and water right next to every pitch. Two restaurants a couple of minutes walk away, we had a takeaway from the Italian Tiggis and it was superb. Only negative is it's just off a main road which you can hear, but it didn't disturb us. Would stay here again.

We stopped over for one night, to break up our journey to Scotland. Perfectly located just off the M6 with a range of restaurants within walking distance. We took the opportunity to drive across to Clitheroe Castle and see Pendle Hill. We would happily come back and stay again to explore this area further, as it has a lot of outdoor activities to offer, particularly walking and biking. Beautifully maintained site, with full laundry facilities and lovely clean toilets and showers.

This site was perfect for us as we have friends and relatives in Blackburn and Clitheroe and we wanted a nice, quiet, clean site in a convenient location for both, so this ticked all the boxes. The fact that the best Indian restaurant around is two minutes away is an added bonus.

Adult only site, located off the A59 and less than 5 minutes walk to 2 good restaurants (an Indian and an Italian). The shower block is spotless. Showers are payable at 20p per minute so ensure you take coins with you. Water is hot with good pressure. The grounds are well maintained and Walter works tirelessly to keep it that way. Nothing is too much trouble and he is always happy to lend a hand in setting up if you are struggling or give advice if asked. We had a fully serviced pitch which is our preferred type of pitch. Lots to do in the local area. Looking forward to staying again in March when the site re-opens.

Great site in the middle of the Ribble Valley with easy access from A59. We got a seasonal pitch in 2021 and think it's brilliant. Ideal site for short or longer stays. Lisa and Walter are so welcoming. Walter is always out and about keeping the site clean and tidy and always willing to help. The shower/toilet block is spotless with underfloor heating. There are washing up facilities and a washing machine situated at the site. The site is close to some lovely areas to visit and if you need recommendations for places to visit then Lisa and Walter are at hand to help. Everyone on site are always warm and friendly. We love our weekends here - a home away from home!

We have stayed at this site numerous times. It is very clean and in a fantastic location too. The owners are so helpful and can't do enough for you. There is a fantastic restaurant called Tiggi's which is just next door and definitely worth a visit. Highly recommended site.

What a fabulously ran campsite. Very clean and excellent facilities. There is a pub a mile walk from the site that does fantastic home cooked food, and the service it very good, definitely recommend it. We would definitely come back and stay on this lovely campsite again. I was sorry to leave my Uncle and Aunty there, I could have stayed longer!
