Dean House Campsite

Charming location close to the small historic rural villages of Minting and Gautby. The camping field is approx 3/4 of an acre in size and is located at the rear of the Dean House small holding. Simple facilities including a shower and toilet supplied, plus campfires are allowed. It's a one mile walk along quiet country lanes to The Sebastopol Inn and half a mile to Minting Village Hall.
About Dean House Campsite
Dean House Campsite offers a traditional camping experience that is back-to-nature in a very quiet location. The towns of Horncastle and Wragby are within easy reach (approx. 6 miles) and the beautiful city of Lincoln is approx. 15 miles away. The historic village of Woodhall Spa is also a short drive or cycle ride away. The camping site is surrounded by quiet country lanes and bridle paths. A bridle path close by leads directly to Chambers Farm Wood (the Lincolnshire Limewoods) with its waymarked circular walks.

Basic site facilities include a toilet with shower and washbasin in a self contained building, with additional facilities for washing up outside. Campfires are allowed.

Things to do on site and in the Horncastle area
This is a beautiful part of Lincolnshire for exploring the outdoors! Just outside Woodhall Spa, you'll find Ostler's Plantation, a patch of pretty woodland maintained by the Forestry Commission and open to the public for gorgeous walks.
All around you are the Lincolnshire Limewoods, an area steeped in history and rich in wildlife. This is the place to find ancient woodlands and quiet countryside or delve into history at local archaeological sites.
