Had a lovely time over the Easter holiday. The staff were very friendly and the campsite was clean.

Couples holiday

The location is very good, next to the zoo, convenience store and butchers. The Pod was a romantic place to stay at, and the heater also met our expectations. Apart from a few cobwebs, the place was clean and so were the facilities.

Loved the Couple's Shepherd's Hut

The Couple's Shepherds Hut was clean, warm and very comfortable. Our only small criticism is the sofa, which was a little bit low and uncomfortable after a while. Loved the large bath! It was a lovely, quiet weekend in February, so not peak time. I would imagine it's quite popular and busy otherwise.

Yes, we do get busy at peak times but as the Park is so spaced out, there is plenty of room for everybody to come and have fun. We look forward to welcoming you back at the end of April.

Great place to stay

Very friendly staff, the site is very clean and tidy, and it's set in a lovely location. Well worth a stay. P.S. the zoo next door is well worth a visit!

Just fantastic

Absolutely brilliant campsite. Location is lovely! It's very close to surrounding villages and towns so you're never too far from a shop if you're short of anything. Although it's right behind Banham zoo, you're never disturbed by the animals. Cleanliness is top notch, I constantly saw staff clean, empty bins and mow the grass; it's all very well kept. We were right at the back and it was so peaceful and quiet, the pitches are spaced really well with more than enough room, we have a toddler and it was just lovely to see her run and play without having to worry about other campers. The short walk to the zoo was brilliant for her! ;). The only criticism I can give is the play area, it would be nice to see a bit more for the kids to play on and something for little toddlers to amuse themselves with as the current play area is more geared towards 5 years+, I'd say. All in all, we'll be returning next year! Great place.

Great friendly site

Great site, staff were extremely friendly. Facilities marked down purely because there was not much in the way of food establishments (not the fault of the park though) locally.

Many thanks for your lovely review Allan. Not sure if you ventured across the road to the Appleyard but they host a takeaway that offers Fish and Chips, Pizzas, Burgers and Kebabs, a butchers who cooks and makes yummy bap rolls and baguettes and a Onestop shop that sells general groceries should you wish to cook. We also have several pubs locally that serve food but they are all 1-3 miles away so this would mean a short drive. If you are visiting us for bank holidays or during the in the summer we also have a variety of food vans onsite. We look forward to seeing you again soon.

A beautiful, clean place to stay

This site is well worth a stay, amazing staff, great value for the money and close to local places to visit.

Exceptional campsite. Karen is lovely. Very clean. So peaceful

Karen is so efficient and lovely, nothing was too much trouble for her. Took her time to welcome us and even wrote down the number of a local dog sitter for us. Explained about the food being cooked onsite. Brilliant welcome. Thank you Karen. Applewood is a very friendly, exceptionally clean and peaceful campsite. Toilets and shower block amazing. Beautiful surroundings and close to so many amenities. We thoroughly enjoyed our time there and wished we could have stayed longer. We are returning next year and are also booking the Shepherds Huts for our 3 grown up children and their partners. Well done Applewood. I would 100% recommend this campsite 😊.

Hidden Gem Excellent location Great facilities Local amenities minutes away. Added bonus of being next to the zoo and hearing the animals.

For a small village we are extremely lucky to have one of Norfolk's top attractions right next door and the Appleyard across the road with an array of lovely shops and facilities. Best campsite we've been to

One of the nicest campsites we've ever stayed at! The facilities are clean and modern and the grounds are lovely and tidy! There's a park area, tasty food trucks, and a nearby shop. There's also zoo onsite, which was the highlight of our trip! Will definitely return to Applewood, 5 stars.

Amazing stay

We stayed for 5 nights as a family of 3. We had an amazing time and our daughter made some great friends. Perfect location with easy access to the coast and (most importantly) to Bahnam Zoo, which is literally over the fence!
