Pinecones Caravan and Camping is a family orientated, picturesque getaway in Dersingham, Norfolk - named the ninth nicest village in the UK by The Sunday Times. And it's just a hop from the sea! No wonder the royals live nearby at Sandringham. Happy campers love indulging in the modern and family-friendly facilities including the private bathrooms which are warm and clean, perfect for having your own space. There is even a bar and cinema onsite!

Probably the best campsite I've stayed at. Check in is very well organised after reception hours, I also got some fish and chips from the shop and the staff were so lovely. The spot I was allocated was spacious. The showers were probably the best part! Very clean and you get an entire bathroom to yourself, not just a cubicle (I've never had that at a campsite before). The shower even had a radio and flashing lights in the shower head, which was really warm and powerful. There are bikes you can hire too. There is a play park for children and lots of benches to sit and have a picnic. The only downside I could think of is that you can hear the cars on the main road off the campsite, which doesn't make it feel as secluded as you'd expect for a campsite. But it was very much worth every penny, thank you!

What can we say, Pinecones superseded our expectations. We stayed in one of their oak pods as a family of 5 (one baby). It was an absolutely perfect base for a weekend of exploring Norfolk. Clean and had all the essential basics we were not expecting. The site was clean and in a great location. The showers were a real treat for a campsite. They were really clean, spacious and the added feature of music was fantastic. We would definitely recommend the park to anyone looking for a great place to stay.

Last minute weekend away booked the day before. It was so easy to book. Didn't leave until after work on a Friday, and when turning up we carried out the self check in with no problems. We pitched out on the electric grass/sand pitch with just electric, and it was fantastic for the value- can't fault it. Clean showers and toilets. And the food onsite was nice too. Definitely recommend.

Great little find! Site was clean and easy to navigate. Showers and toilets were clean. Lovely shower rooms as it's more like a personal bathroom. Perfect for people with dogs as they had fab facilities! Dog wash and a dog bar! So cute! Can't wait to come back here with our dogs next year in the summer! Some lovely walks close by, close to the beach also. Staff were helpful and friendly! Would highly recommend.

Overall the site worked very well for my family and the 3 families camping with us. Being allocated 4 pitches in a corner area was perfect. I loved the individual toilet/shower rooms, great idea. I would recommend slightly bigger pitches. Thank you.

Lovely place to stay- close to nice walks, friendly staff and fast service. Would have given 5 stars for facilities too, but I think the ice pack freezer needs to be bigger and have a sign on it saying only take your own packs, as some of ours went missing. The team there did give us loads of ice though when we told them. It was my husband's first time camping, and he wants to go more now.

A nice campsite situated in a good location, ideal for visiting the beach and other local attractions. The site and facilities were well maintained and clean. The small shop providing the everyday essentials, as well as the camping bits you might have forgotten!

Lovely family campsite. Bathrooms were really clean and modern and washing up facilities were brilliant. There was a laundry service and hairdryer. On-site shop closes early but there is a local coop only a drive away. Staff were super friendly and play park on-site good for the kids!

Clean, friendly campsite well placed for visiting the coast and nearby countryside. The toilets and showers were very clean and well maintained. The site was tidy and well organised. We particularly enjoyed the local walks along the stream and to Sandringham. The beautiful beaches of Snettisham, Heacham and Hunstanton are very close by. The campsite staff were friendly and only too happy to help. I would definitely stay here again - many thanks for a lovely holiday.

Great site with great facilities. Our first time camping for a few years, and so glad we chose this site. Great location for days out and close to a number of beaches. We all loved the toilet and shower rooms especially the teens! Definitely will come again.

Had a great stay here. Brilliant toilet/showers, some of the best we have used. Plenty of them, so only had to wait a short while on a few occasions. Pot washing also great with plenty of hot water. Dog friendly with a small area to let them off lead, plenty of local walks on lead, shower and drink station. Strict noise rules, adhered to by all which suited us. Small camp shop for essentials. Location is a bit isolated, but within an hour of most of the best north Norfolk beaches and very close to Sandringham, a walk away for some. Childrens play area wasn't much, only really suitable for toddlers. Could hear the traffic from main road at quiet times, but soon got used to it. All in all a nice little site.

Aside from one noisy couple on the second night, this was a good stay at a good price where most other competitors were significantly more expensive. The showers were well thought through and ideal for families with young children. The pitches were of a good size, albeit tightly packed together and the play park was a great addition. Accessing services including reception and other facilities was difficult and not aided by a lack of obvious timings. A new heavy-duty freezer is needed for ice blocks. Although not well located to a town, it was nonetheless excellently located to both National Trust and English Heritage sites, and several beaches.

Great campsite itself was clean and tidy. The cool block freezer could be bigger as we struggled to get even two things in as people were freezing 10+ items at a time. The wasps / ants were a real issue as there were a lot of them. The showers were only cleaned once a day and to be honest, that wasn't enough but overall we had a great stay even when it rained. The ground was sand so stayed wet for a very long time and flooded.

We haven't had rain since June therefore, the rain we did get when you was with us was tropical like. I would like to highlight that the private bathrooms are cleaned twice a day- one in the morning approx 10:30am and in the evening at 5pm. Thank you again and we hope to see again for another stay!

Not having much to compare with I was impressed with how well organised and tidy this campsite was! Bathrooms like you would have at home. Only negative is that we didn't get allocated a pitch next to our friends despite requesting it.

We have just come back from a 4 night stay here, this is one of the best sites I've stayed on in the last few years. The site was clean well maintained. The staff were helpful. The shower and wash rooms were clean and really nice. I could not find anything wrong with this site

Beautiful site with clean bathrooms and a great little shop. So much to do in the surrounding area. Great for kids & dogs. Only down side was the road noise but this does make the site very accessible.

I have mixed views on this site, pitch was great, very spacious and picnic hut was lovely touch, all in one shower room was perfect, ice making machine on site was a first for me on a campsite which was amazing as temps were around 30 degrees everyday, also cheap ice creams from the little shop was a bonus and staff were all very friendly. Now the 'could be improved' parts. Site could have done with just a toilet block to help the busy queuing morning visits, the Norfolk Nibbles could do with having longer opening times. I'm sure the site would gain money from this as you had to travel to get to any shop, so if opened, we would have definitely used the facility instead of driving to get food. if you do go to this site be prepared to drive everywhere unless you like a hike, some nice walls but walk to beach was over an hour which sounds okay until you have to remember you have an hour walk back after your beach time. So over all a nice site. We would come back but not stay as long this time, as not much to do, unless you drive everywhere, which personally we didn't want to do. Maybe next time we'd take bikes as that may be easier, thanks Pinecones for a nice few days away.

We like to sell price marked items in our shop so our customers know they are not over paying on their items. Norfolk Nibbles is separate from Pinecones, but the food is fantastic. There is a Co-op 10 minutes walk from the site. We do have a selection of walks from the site and also do bike hire. We do hope you will consider us again in the future. Pinecones Team
Busy road

It says there's a busy road near by - not kidding. All day and night, there was car noise. They have great toilets with showers and sinks in them, but they need more toilets with just a sink in. I've never had to queue up to use a toilet at a caravan/camping site in 20 years of camping and caravanning.

Good location for North Norfolk tourist spots. The road just next to the site proved noisy at times. Clean showers and hot water were welcome after days out.

We stayed here for 5 nights and was great- not a single problem really apart from the shop opening times. Are 9.30-3, so could do with being open slightly earlier and open till later, but other than that it was perfect. I know the fish and chip guys are seprate but it was amazing fish and chips, one of the best I have had and loved they had watering holes for the dogs- is a nice touch.

The park is nice and clean and the facilities are great. Our stay was very hot and windy, and with the sandy soil, made for a dusty stay. The ground is what it is, so no complaints, just something to consider. My only criticisms are that the pitches were allocated, but I would prefer to have had a choice of available pitches. I'm sure if we'd have asked for a different pitch it would have been fine, but I don't see why you can't just select on arrival. I would say there is limited open grass area for the kids to run around, but that's just what we prefer. Also, the main road is right next to the site and can be busy.

We stayed Pinecones for a week camping in a large pitch with electric hook up. The pitch was perfect, large and flat. The electric hook up very easily accessible. When we arrived and checked, in the staff were so friendly and so informative. Easy to understand map, free WiFi and laminated sheets for you to explore walks in the local area and QR codes for you to scan to get it on your phone. Great little shop on site for all necessities including electric hook up if you'd forgotten your own, gas canisters for the burners, food, ice cream, cereal, you name it! All at a very reasonable price. The toilets were central to the campsite where the tents and caravans are and another block is situated by the statics and pods. Both blocks were cleaned at least twice a day, always clean. There was a slight drain smell occasionally but understandable with the amount of people using them. Music on in the toilet blocks which I thought was great! The site is so well run, staff always on hand to help. They had a rule of quiet outside from 8pm and everyone in your tents/caravans being quiet from 11pm. This was monitored strictly with staff on patrol. I thought this was great. Meant we never had any loud people outside after 11pm. We have a 3yr old so it worked well for us. Such a nice chilled atmosphere. Loved it and would definitely recommend.
