Friendly staff, lots to do and a beautiful beach.
Best family campsite ever
Sprinter-Type Campervan - Non Electric Grass Pitches Jul 2025 What a beautiful campsite, the pitches were big, a short walk to a stunning beach and I have never seen cleaner facilities on a site. Dogs are very welcome with free dog biscuits and a really useful doggy shower area.
The visiting food trucks were a bonus and really high quality food. My daughter loved the park and daily fire pit for toasting marshmallows.

VW-Type Campervan - Electric Grass Pitches Jul 2025 Super friendly staff, nice grass pitches of a good size, a, good range of facilities and kept tidy, great access to beach too.
The only thing we would say as a negative is the toilet and shower blocks we visited are started to look a bit tired, but this may be on their list as everything else was ace.

Brilliant time

Friendly staff, great location and reasonable price. Definitely worth a visit.
Quite relaxing stay blowing the cobwebs away
Caravan - Premium Grass Pitches Jul 2025 This is a quite site with a clean shower block clean toilets. Good washing up facilities if your camping and clean fresh water sites. Plenty of waste bin sites which are emptied staff were all friendly. There is no club house and a small well stocked shop.
The other side is now for holiday homes and lodges which can be rented out. We stayed in plot 22 which was ideal for us. A short walk over the dunes to the most stunning beach where we were lucky enough to to see the seals chilling just up from the campsite. They were just off shore swimming in the water keeping a watchful eye on us on the beach! About an hours walk along the beach left of the site is the Dunes cafe which is a must visit and the other way about a 5 minute drive is Popplands cafe which is set in the 1940's.
The only fault we could find was lack of WiFi or internet access. There wasn't any so if you rely on the internet access is very limited. Apart from that we will be back. Met some lovely people and made memories. Thank you
Weekend stay at Waxham
Tent - Electric Grass Pitches Jul 2025 We had a brilliant time visiting Waxham Sands this weekend.
The site was on the beach with excellent facilities and friendly staff. The beach was clean, and the seals were delightful to see bobbing about in the waves.
We had drinks and ate in the pop-up bar and food stalls.
I would highly recommend.

Sprinter-Type Campervan - Non Electric Grass Pitches Jul 2025 We loved our midweek stay at this rural seaside site. The staff were friendly and helpful. The site is open plan with pitches that are numbered and generous. There were several very clean toilet blocks and the shower block had good sized shower cubicals. We noted there was a laundry room if needed.
There’s a handy small shop in the site’s reception selling ice creams, takeaway drinks and some everyday essentials.
The beautiful sandy quiet beach is just over the sand dunes. There’s a coast footpath if you enjoy walking. We walked to Waxham tithe barn with the Dunes cafe and had a lovely coffee and massive cream scone! Walking along the beach we enjoyed watching the many seals shooting the waves. At one point we sat quietly on the sea defence steps and just watched a seal colony chilling on the beach in the sunshine. They’re fantastic creatures and there’s also plenty of other wildlife around.
The site is a good base to explore this stretch of the coast or inland Norfolk. We’ll definitely return just to kick back and enjoy the relaxing walks along this beautiful sandy coastline.
Quiet stay for elderly couple
Motorhome - Premium Grass Pitches Jul 2025 30 years since I last stayed in an ancient caravan. The layout has changed little, it's exceptionally clean and tidy everywhere and pitches are well laid out.
Water points and showers are too far away to be convenient if you're placed at the far end of the site.
The trail/dog walk is exceptional, the best I've seen having visited plenty of sites in the last year who seem to be including this increasingly. The shop/reception staff are friendly and efficient but the shop itself is limited.

Small, shop on site and visiting food vans on some nights. Children's play areas and pitch and putt crazy golf.

Motorhome - Premium Grass Pitches Jul 2025 We arrived at Waxham Sands for a 2 night stay in a motorhome. I used to stay here as a child over 40 years ago and was unsure what we would find.
The site has modernised but kept the original toilet blocks but fetched them up to date slightly. We had a premium pitch but not sure what made it any difference from the other pitches, other than the room to get an 8m motorhome on. The site isn't geared up for motorhomes as it doesn't have a motorhome service point to empty your grey waste. The chemical toilet points are near the entrance, which is a considerable walk from one end of the site to the other.
One thing I need to mention is the site rules when you book and these are given to you on arrival. If Lovat are going to put these in the booking terms and conditions (as this is what some people book against) they need to carry them through. Several large groups all congregated together to form a large seating area, some making noise after 10pm and with more than one tent on each pitch. Tents and motor homes not parked or pitched correctly in relation to fire safety regulations allow groups to come together easily, as one parked nose in with other rear in. What's point writing these rules if you are not going to adhere to them?
Chemical toilet points were slightly dirty and could have done with a deep clean. Food vendors come on site from 5 - 8 every night but we didn't try these. Short walk over the dunes to a lovely beach. If you time it right, if you turn left heading towards Sea Palling, you will see a large group of seals on the beach
Would I stay again? Yes, but tighter control on guests needs to be adhered to and I'm not 'a Karen'.

2nd night very large group were near us, children playing/ screaming till gone midnight, adult up till gone 2am, warden did nothing.
Great place to stay if you are a beach lover
Tent - Premium Grass Pitches Jul 2025 Great area overall, great beach within walking distance and excellent woods to walk the dog.
Should have a freezer facility for campers as only 1 small freezer for ice blocks. Staff very friendly and helpful. Not worth paying the extra for premium pitch as others just as good. Gets busy on weekends and quiet during the week.
Unfortunately, when I visited, the wind was strong which made me cut short my stay. Would recommend for families with dogs and children.
Perfect peace
Caravan - Premium Grass Pitches Jun 2025 Well, a hidden gem found by accident.
Waxham Sands touring site is a very well-kept tidy venue for a pleasant stay. It has direct access to a lovely sandy beach just over a couple of sand dune hillocks, just a few minutes plod through the tussocks, even though walking on soft sand is not too easy eh? Then experience the seals swimming close to the shore who, l think, were 'human watching' instead of the other way round.
Good size, well organised plots for what is a reasonable price these days and helpful, well-versed staff who are pleasant too. My Mrs and I only stayed for four nights (Mon to Fri) and when we tried to extend, our spot was already 'spoken for' over the weekend.
We willvisit again now we've found it and will book a bit smarter next time, we're told it's very busy on weekends. Well done Waxham Sands, and thanks. Stephen C.

Fantastic campsite!
Tent - Electric Grass Pitches Jun 2025 First time staying at Waxham and I was very impressed with the site. Really good facilities! Crazy golf, 2 play areas, undercover seating and a communal fire pit. On site shop is handy.
Campsite had a chilled atmosphere and was very friendly! Direct beach access is obviously a big plus and we saw lots of seals. The pitch was really good value for money!
Pop up food trucks and cocktails were popular! The only negative was the shop opening times. We will definitely return!

Staff are so helpful. Facilities are plentiful and clean.
Best of all, you only have to walk over a sand dune to find yourself on the most beautiful quiet beach.

Motorhome - Premium Grass Pitches Jun 2025 We loved it here and would highly recommend. Facilities dated hence the 4 🌟 rating but clean and fully functional with plenty of hot water.
Staff were so friendly and accommodating, and reacted calmly and professionally during someone else having a meltdown in the guest services! Lovely beach a few minutes walk over the dunes. Excellent play area for the kids and crazy golf (chargeable £5.50 each).
Visiting food vans and bar at weekends in the evenings and just eat deliver too if you don't fancy cooking. Motorhome pitch very roomy with all facilities needed nearby. We will be back 🥰
