About Lomond Woods Holiday Park

From your base by the Loch Lomond National Park and only 17 miles from the cultural hub of Glasgow, you won't be short of things to do. Starting with loch cruises and visitor centres, then moving onto kayaking and mountain biking, there is something to suit all the family. Plus you'll love the stunning, dramatic scenery of Loch Lomond and the surrounding area, which includes many sweet villages. Hardstanding and fully serviced pitches offer an excellent touring break. The cosy glamping pods are a haven for couples, families, and groups looking to enjoy a break close to the loch and its lovely scenery. Choose from a deluxe en-suite studio pod cabin for four or one of the larger pod cabins sleeping up to six (take your own bed linen and towels or pre-book a linen pack). The site's regular and deluxe lodges are available as 2/3/4 bedroom and are the ideal getaway for families. The icing on the cake has to be the park's brand spanking new hot tub lodges, the perfect way to treat yourself.

Loch Lomond's only country park will have you staring at its fabulous views over the water and wandering its lovely 200 acres. There are walled gardens, nature trails and guided walks. Balloch Castle and Country Park is the place to relax and unwind in nature.

Set on a pretty hilltop in Helensburgh, overlooking the River Clyde, there's Charles Rennie Mackintosh's finest domestic creation. The Tenement House provides a rare glimpse into life in Glasgow in the early 20th century, a window straight into the past.

If castles are of interest, step straight into the sumptuous world of Stirling Castle's Royal Court and get exploring. Inveraray Castle is the ancestral home of the Duke of Argyll, and a real must-see visitor attraction on the West Coast of Scotland.

A variety of restaurants, cafes and takeaways are all within easy walking distance of the park, with a local delivery service also available from selected takeaway restaurants. There's Princess Rose (takeaway option available), The Balloch House, Cucina for Italian flavours, The Lochside and many more.

Golf and fishing are high on the agenda too with championship golf courses at Vale of Leven Golf Course and The Carrick. Great fishing is available at the River Leven and River Endrick.

Sweeney's Cruises will take you and your party for a cruise on the lovely waters of the loch. In Your Element offer a tonne of award-winning, land and water-based outdoor activities to tempt you.

Choose from activities such as: segway safaris, gorge walking, canyoning, canoeing, mountain biking, river sledging, abseiling, archery, stand up paddling boarding and the aerial adventure course for those with a head for heights, Treezone.
