About the site

Set on a family farm, growing malting barley for the famous local Speyside Whisky, this site is a perfect base for exploring the many attractions of Moray Speyside. Within a 15 minute drive, you can find everything from the Benromach Distillery to Findhorn Beach and Duffus Castle. If you are camping, choose from the range of grass pitches, some tucked away in the wilderness area with trees scattered in between. All pitches allow up to six guests with the option of opting for 16 amp electric or a larger 9m x 11m pitch. For a twist on traditional camping, the site offers charming camping pods. Equipped with metered electric (pound coins required), they include heating, lighting, plug sockets, and handy appliances like a fridge, toaster, and kettle. Outside, enjoy meals on your private decking area with a picnic bench. The two person couple pods come with a double bed, bedding, towels, and a table with chairs. Families can opt for five-person pods, featuring a spacious sleeping platform with comfy memory foam mattresses - just remember to bring your bedding! All pods have easy access to shared toilet and shower facilities, along with The Bothy, which features a kitchen and chill out area. If you want to cook a tasty dinner during your stay, BBQs are welcome (just not disposable ones). There are also fire pits available to hire too, and you can add these as an extra when you book. Dogs can also join you, with up to two pups permitted per pitch and pod.

Camping Pod - Barnside Ensuite Wigwam Glamping Pods with Hot TubsSep 2024

We had a great time with our 2 granddaughters, we only managed to stay one night as we got caught up in traffic by an accident but enjoyed the night we did stay. The pods were clean and warm. The hosts were very friendly and helpful and we got a bit of a later check out as the girls had been flower girls at a wedding in Elgin. The girls enjoyed the hot tub and sheep, and there's a great play area for the kids. We could have explored more but we had a long drive home but would definitely recommend 😊

Site's response

Thank you for taking the time to leave a review, so sorry you only got the opportunity to stay one night due to road/accident issues but hope your husband enjoyed the rest when he finally had the chance. Glad that a later check-out helped and that you all enjoyed the hot tub. I hope we can welcome you again.

Lovely quiet site
