Find a world of peace at the road's end! Badrallach has various pitches for tents and campervans (6m size limit), and also some more secluded pitches hidden in the gorse thickets for a little more privacy. Then there's the bothy, which is really a big stone tent - a great shelter for all. All this is set beside a crystal clear loch with endless Highland views and the tranquillity of a remote escape. Dog friendly.

Very remote and wild, would be fun for groups.
Site's response
Thanks for coming along. Indeed it is a wild and remote location, but luckily it's also well-maintained and cleaned every day of the year :-)

The scenery makes up for the terrifying, yet entertaining drive to the campsite. Cows all along the road made it a hilarious journey, but then you get to the site! Tiny, secluded and surrounded by breathtaking scenes.

Thanks for your review, glad you enjoyed your stay :-)

We had a lovely stay at Badrallach, it's such a beautiful place in a remote part of the Highlands. It's a small, friendly campsite with great eco facilities. The sea loch is a short walk away and another beach is accessible for those wanting a longer walk. The owners are really friendly and take time to check you have everything you need. Ensure you bring all your supplies with you as there is no shop in the area!

Thanks so much for your review and ratings, so happy you enjoyed your stay with us - it would be great to see you back here again :-) Chris

Really pretty site with great views. Lots of midges though.
Site's response
Thanks for the positive review and rating, very glad you enjoyed your stay 🙂 Midgies do get bad in August if there's no breeze, there's a chance of getting midge magnets next season so this could make all the difference!

Lovely spot. Nice walk down to the loch for the kids to paddle in the water. Allocation of spots is first come first served but it seemed like the electric hook-ups were all taken so we had to park in a non-electric pitch for the night. Clearer marking of the pitches might help, especially as there are no staff on-site to answer questions if need be.
Site's response
Thanks for your review and rating, glad you enjoyed it! Thanks for the feedback about the allocation of electric hook-up. Indeed, it is first come first serve, and there are times where there is no staff member on site, so on rare occasions mistakes like this can happen. We have managed to mitigate this by giving clear instructions by email and SMS to everyone before they arrive, and luckily it has by and large worked well. I urge for guests to give me a phone call when there are any complications - myself and all three of my colleagues live very close by and are always able to sort out any issues. Once again, thanks very much and I appreciate the feedback. I am happy to refund the electric hook-up cost for the night if you would like me to.

The setting is beautiful, as is the 'road' to the site. Having spent 9 hours on the bike, I was looking forward to a nice peaceful stay, before hitting the road again the following day. Unfortunately I kept getting woken up by late arrivals (last one I heard was 10.00pm).
Site's response
Sorry to hear about the late arrivals disturbing your sleep and affecting your stay with us, Jamie. I have taken that on board. There are occasions when guests will ask if they can turn up later than the 8pm cut-off and for flexibility, I often say yes, given where we are located. Although I request that they are considerate of other guests when arriving later, there is always a chance that they will disturb someone. I will consider a strict late limit as that seems reasonable. Thank you for your feedback, I hope you enjoyed the rest of your travels.

Due to issues with our dog, we were only able to stay for 1 night, we had 2 full days at the site and it was lovely. When we left Chris offered to rebook out remaining days for another time. Can't wait to come back!!
Site's response
It's a real shame you couldn't stay for longer, but you did miss some horrendous weather! I look forward to having you back up, really glad you enjoyed the time you did have and thank you very much for the kind review. Chris.

A very secluded site with good facilities. My only negative comment was that there was only one working male toilet trap and no urinals.
Site's response
Hi there Steven - Thanks for your feedback, ratings, and positive review. Yes, the second male toilet is out of order whilst I await a new part, and it will be fixed in the next few days. In the meantime, there is an extra toilet in the middle cubicle that makes up for it. Many thanks - Chris.

This is a quirky, small, peaceful campsite in the middle of nowhere. We were there one night and loved it, but it wouldn't be everyone's cup of tea as it is very quiet and very rustic with many trees, so lots of midges etc. You must take food supplies with you as there is no shop and it is very much in the middle of nowhere. Do not be phased by the look of the showers as they are the amazing - great water pressure. Chris provided us with great info about the site and was easy to contact at all times.

Thanks very much for your review Norma, glad you had a good stay!

Off the beaten track, Badralloch is small but beautifully formed. If you want to chill peacefully amongst spectacular scenery then this place is ideal. No shops etc nearby so stock up on what you need beforehand. Facilities are adequate for this size of site.

A cracking little campsite. A five min walk and you're by the side of the loch. The drive to the site is long and feels like it takes forever but when you get there it's worth it. The toilet and shower block is very good. The showers are powerful and of a good temperature. If you like being away from the masses this place is for you. The nearest shop is probably Ullapool so about 30-40min away, so nipping out isn't really an option. On the whole I enjoyed my stay here.

In the summer you need midge repellent, otherwise this is just an amazing place to stay and the most wonderful journey to get there. I left early to see the light on the loch and mountains and was not disappointed. An incredible site.

This is a special place that you'll want to keep coming back to, in any season. From the cuckoo's call in Spring to the roaring waters of the burn in Autumn, from walks along the loch shore in Summer to the dark and starry nights of Winter. I usually camp in one of the wild pitches which has a beautiful view, and which feels very private but is still only a couple of minutes walk from the showers and toilets. The facilities are quirky, well-kept, warm and welcoming. The management is friendly and available but never intrusive. I can't recommend this camp site enough. Just first rate.
