About North Coast 500 Pods Achmelvich
With all the comfort of a hotel room and located opposite the sandy shores of Achmelvich Bay, this site offers the ultimate relaxing getaway in the Highlands. The site has four pods in total, with half of those welcoming pets, and half being pet free. Groups of up to four can enjoy a relaxing stay in a glamping pod, each fitted with a cosy double bed and double sofa bed with high-quality linen provided. Inside each pod is a fully equipped kitchenette area with a fridge/freezer, hob, oven, kettle, toaster and microwave so you have everything you need should you want to cook. Your ensuite shower room will also be fitted with an electric shower and heated towel rail. Your pod will be kitted out with all of the mod-cons including an Amazon Alexa, WiFi, a smart TV, Philips hue lighting, USB wall sockets and an integrated Bluetooth sound system, making it the perfect space for a night in.
North Coast 500 Pods Achmelvich is open all year round.
Each pod has its own ensuite facilities. There is also a communal deck area with modern BBQ facilites.
The nearest shop and pub to the site are Spar and Lochinver Larder, both in Lochinver ten minutes away.

Lovely, cosy, well equipped pod a very short walk from the beautiful beach at Achmelvich. Good communication and easy to access. Sadly not the weather for a barbecue or to enjoy the outdoor area but four adults slept well.

Super cosy pods, after our draughty old house it felt very luxurious, I didn't even have to wear my bed socks! 😅 The attention to detail in and out was excellent, and the outside area around the pods was also very well maintained. The bed was so comfy and child two gave the sofa bed a big thumbs up. All in all, the boys, dogs and I thoroughly enjoyed our little adventure and I would highly recommend NC500 pods!

Things to do on site and in the Lochinver area
Located on the NC500, this is the perfect place to hop in the car and explore the majestic landscapes of Scotland.
Situated opposite Achmelvich Bay with its stunning sandy beach and clear blue waters, this is a great spot for spending the day swimming or relaxing and reading a book. Other nearby beaches include Clachtoll Beach (15 minutes) and Scourie Beach (50 minutes).
For keen walkers and hikers, Knockan Crag National Nature Reserve is situated 40 minutes from the site and is full of stunning mountains and lakes for you to discover.
