Great little campsite with the best facilities I’ve ever seen

Fairly new campsite, and it shows. Everything is new and spotless

Excellent site in a good location.

2 night stop over

Great site facilities were very clean great shop and friendly service. Only problem as early risers, when we used the showers, we were met with cold water at 4:30am, hence only 4 stars. Make sure sleep in to get warm water!

Great site

I can’t see anything wrong with this site, staff polite and helpful, shop has all you want, facilities are great and clean.

Excellent facilities and location

Lovely area and location - only a 6 minute walk along the river to the town. All facilities were excellent and one of the cleanest we visited on our travels around Scotland.

We had a lovely stay here for one night the on site amenities where out standing. Lovely walk along the river.

We found the sire out standing and value for money

Fantastic

Only stayed the one night as it was a stopover before heading to Orkney. Had a lovely reception and a laugh with the guys who booked us in. Really helpful. The shower and toilet block was a wow!! Lots of cubicles and loads of room in the shower area for drying and changing. The bonus was that you didn’t have to keep pushing the button every few seconds like some you come across. Think it must have been a good minute and the water was lovely and hot. So nice to have hair dryers available without extra cost. The whole site was immaculate with plenty of amenities and the walk into Wick along the river was lovely and took about 10 minutes. Would award more than 5* if possible.

Amazing site with great facilities

We had a very warm welcome from staff who were justifiably proud of the site. Everything was well organised, super clean and just right.

An absolute gem

What an amazing camp site! Travelling solo as a disabled person the staff could not have been more welcoming. The pitches were perfect, the disabled facilities were top notch (including piped music and heated floors!) and the site was beautifully kept. I highly recommend Wick River, I couldn’t find any faults with it, and to top it all off with a gold star is the fact that its community run with the money being reinvested into the site and making Wick a better place for everyone! Well done to all concerned!

Peaceful, and great facilities!

We stayed for 2 nights on a grass pitch with EHU, in our van plus awning, with our 2 dogs. The site is tucked away in a great location - peaceful but very easy to walk into town and to other local amenities. The facilities onsite were all excellent and you can see an awful lot of money, effort and love has gone into the various improvements. The staff were all lovely - friendly and helpful, and the shop had everything you might need (in case you forgot something!). We especially enjoyed watching all the bunnies in the grass areas! So many! Would definitely visit again if we're ever back in Scotland.

A great stay at this super campsitr

We had an excellent stay at this very nice campsite with great customer service services and cleanliness. It is very well located for the shops and restaurants in Wick with a small shop if you wish to stay at the campsite.

Fantastic campsite

Best campsite we have ever stayed in. They have thought of everything! Very clean, fantastic facilities, they even have a communal room open 24 hours with microwave, hot drinks, fridge and freezer Great also for dog walking and very close to town along the river

Gorgeous site

What an absolutely stunning campsite. The facilities are impeccable, all new. The pitch sizes are generous and the site is very well maintained. The only negative which has not impacted our stay, is the fact that you cannot get a peg into the hard standing pitch, even with a hammer drill! However, this is such a small inconvenience and most certainly would not stop us staying again. Highly recommend. The staff are friendly and helpful. Everything you need for a stop over. Wick itself is a disappointment, not much to see or do in town. Easy access to Duncansby head and other local view points.

Great campsite

Excellent campsite so clean and brilliant information give in arrival. Staff welcoming on arrival and during stay. Easy to walk to town with great dog walks Highly recommended

Wonderful campsite

Everything was perfect, the staff was super friendly and accomodating. We felt very welcome and well instructed on where to park and what to do etc. The facilities are great and Wick is in walking distance. We will definitely stay here again!

Fantastic campsite

Wick River is a fantastic site that is very close the town of Wick. The welcome is warm and very well organised and the site is very well equipped. I had a great time at Wick River.

Amazing team

Great stay, great team and super organised, The best set up site on our Scotland NC500 tour - what it lacked in size it made up for in convenience, set up and cleanliness. Modern set up with a great river backdrop- highly recommended

Great site, very clean and in a fantastic location.

Excellent stay

Took the alternative route into the campsite which was very scenic. Staff very professional at the reception desk, showed us where to park on the diagram & gave leaflets of site & how to hook up electric. Showers & toilets exceptional, very clean & modern. We had a lovely walk into the town centre in the evening & all the locals are extremely friendly.
