Foxholes Castle Camping offers back to nature camping with campfires and glamping tucked close to the beauty of the Shropshire Hills AONB. A number of top walking routes pass very close - like the popular Shropshire Way and and Offa's Dyke Way. Family run and eco-friendly, it has views worth travelling for, a relaxed setup and even cosy cabins and a converted rail carriage which offer a bed indoors for the night.
The site is set on a 28 acre smallholding, surrounded by patchwork fields and lush hills. Camping is on grass with limited electric and there's a total of four fields. All operate without set pitches, so feel free to choose the spot (and the view!) that suits you best. Two fields are just for tents and campervans, while the other two welcome tourers and tents can join there too - in case you're travelling in a group with someone in a caravan. For a little more luxury, try a wood-clad cabin. Either the 8 berth EcoCabin, 6 berth Datcha or the converted railway carriage which sleeps two. Dogs are welcome to join you camping or in the railway carriage, but sorry they cannot stay in the cabins.
Camping is available from March to October, while cabins are open all year round.
Grassed fields without set pitches, to suit tents and tourers - feel free to pitch where you like. A limited number are available with electric.

This is a great place to get active, with the beautiful Shropshire Hills on hand and more challenging routes to tempt you - from the Shropshire Way to the Offa's Dyke Path.
Bishop's Castle is a great place for a browse, a bite to eat and a swim in the local pool. Step back through time at the Railway and Transport Museum and then reward yourself with a real ale in one of the excellent pubs.
In the spring and summer, time your visit right and you might catch a festival or live music in town. The walking festival is very popular and the annual carnival is a great time.
