The Green Caravan Park is a family-run and family-friendly 15 acre site located in a designated Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty in South Shropshire. The mainly level and well sheltered site accommodates tents, caravans, and motorhomes on both electric and non-electric pitches. The shallow River East Onny runs through.
About The Green Caravan Park
Set in a valley between The Long Mynd and Stiperstones Hills, The Green Caravan Park offers all the ingredients for a superb break or holiday. The site is conveniently situated less than half an hour from both Shrewsbury and Ludlow. There are various places to camp, from small dingles to a large five acre meadow and rally field. Several of the pitches are adjacent to the river and there are plenty of electric pitches, including five hard standings. The site has been regularly voted into the Top 100 Parks of Practical Caravan magazine and also received a well-deserved David Bellamy Gold Conservation Award from 2000 to 2010. It is dog-friendly and has a designated dog walk.
Open from 31 March to 31 October
Facilities include a shower block with hot showers (20p), hairdryer and shaving point, plus washing up room, laundry with washing machine and tumble drier, shop (limited opening during low season) with basic groceries, ice-cream, sweets, pop and pocket-money toys, camping equipment, O/S maps and Calor gas. There is also a well stocked village shop just over the road.
There is a small play area for children, who'll also love the shallow river that runs through the site for paddling, fishing and building dams!
The Inn on the Green pub is reached directly from the site and The Crown is just up the hill, both serving home-made food and real ales.

Site rules and policies
Dogs on a lead at all times, except in exercise area on the dog walk.
No naked flames.
BBQs must be off the ground to prevent damage to the grass.
Quiet time is 10pm-8am - we do not police this but expect our campers to respect those around them.
One car only on a pitch. Additional cars to be left in parking area (£1/night).
Things to do on site and in the Bishop's Castle area
With quiet country lanes and scenic hills, the setting lends itself to superb walks - including around The Long Mynd and Stiperstones Hills. Castles, working museums of agriculture and industry and the quaint market town of Bishop's Castle are all within easy reach.
Over the May Day bank holiday, The Green Man and Frosty the Snow Queen battle over the coming of spring to Clun, with market stalls and entertainment in the square and on the castle grounds.
Bishop's Castle holds an annual walking festival in May, while Walcot Hall hosts the British Stone Skimming Champions in early July.
