Single Axle Caravan - Electric Grass PitchesApr 2022

If you want a spotless, adult only, well run site then this is the one for you. Brian was very helpful, even helped us fix our caravan's foot which somehow broke. The location is near to lots of places to visit. Will definitely be going back.

Site's response

We are glad that you enjoyed your stay and are looking to return. There is a lot to do in the area miles of walking, cycling and site seeing. River boat or steam train trips and plenty of small market towns like Ludlow, Bridgnorth, Much Wenlock, Church Stretton to discover/explore. There are several castles, English Heritage and National Trust properties in the area too. And of course wonderful places to eat and drink. We do like to help guests if they encounter a problem and if we can't help them solve generally know someone who can. Thank you for taking the time to leave a review it is much appreciated and we look forward to seeing you again soon.

Single Axle Caravan - Electric Grass PitchesApr 2022

Great adults only site at Greenway in Craven Arms Shropshire. Stayed in between Bank Holidays and was very peaceful although the owners said it would be full this Bank Holiday weekend in May. It is surrounded by wonderful countryside and rolling hills. A well spaced out site where occupants wouldn't feel cramped. Has approx. 6 glamping pods in one area, electric hook up around the perimeter and area for non electric tents. Very good toilet and shower facilities, washing up area and information area. The owners, Brian and Jane, were very helpful and informative, and keen on recycling at the site, they provide recycling facilities and equipment to make this happen. Free WiFi available and TV signal was fine once the aerial of your outfit pointed the right way. Craven Arms very close by with shops...etc. Ludlow 7 miles away. Lots to see and do in the area. Good price for our stay. Brian and Jane were very welcoming and helpful. Will definitely go back again.

Site's response

Whilst we are a rural site, we are not too far from small market towns like Ludlow, Bridgnorth, Much Wenlock. Craven Arms is less than 2 miles away with it's large independent supermarket Tuffins, butchers, bakers, chemist, charity book shop, and cafes and eateries. It also has a mainline station. There are several walks of varying lengths that can be started from the site and miles of walking on Long Mynd and Wenlock Edge a short car ride away. Whilst we like our guests to enjoy their stay, we do ask that help keep our environment from harm by recycling wherever possible. The site itself has several "wildlife corridors/natural areas" to support the local wild life and bees etc. Thank you for taking the time to leave us such a nice review - it is much appreciated and we look forward to seeing you again in the future.

VW-Type Campervan - Electric Grass PitchesApr 2022

Lovely quiet site, friendly and clean. Helpful couple. Thank you!

Site's response

We are glad you enjoyed your stay. Being an adults only site guests have the time to chill, relax and listen to the bird song and sounds of the country. We are are rural site set in the rolling Corvedale Hills midway between the historic market town of Ludlow (with it's castle, river, forest, independent shops and eateries and a market most days) and Church Stretton / Carding Mill Valley and the Long Mynd. Both are approximately 9 miles away. Craven Arms is a functional town (with a large independent supermarket, cafes, pubs, English, Indian, Chinese take aways and mainline station) The Shropshire hills Discovery Centre and Stokesay Castle are just on the outskirts of craven Arms. Just a couple of miles away in the car. It can walked to via public footpaths through fields and very quiet country lanes. Thank you for taking the time to leave us a review - it is much appreciated.

VW-Type Campervan - Fully Serviced Hardstanding Touring PitchesOct 2021

Brilliant site with brilliant hosts! Complete novice to the campervan and was expertly guided throughout our stay

Site's response

Thank you for your kind words. We are glad you enjoyed your stay. We all start our "outdoor living experience /journey" somewhere and if we are able to help with advice / guidance, we are always happy to do so. If we don't know the answer we may know where to go to find it. We hope you enjoy many more "camping" experiences and exploring what each new area has to offer.

A unique, gem of a campsite

Medium Tent - Non-Electric Grass PitchesSep 2021

This site was beautiful, with lots of trees and immaculate lawns. The facilities were astonishingly clean, and the recycling area was excellent. The owners were friendly and welcoming. There was a good mix of pitches (with some being in glens, which was very helpful in the heatwave we had). I was so impressed in every way by the site itself. The only downside, and this is obviously in no way the site owners' fault, but something to consider if you are an animal lover, is that Craven Arms has a large abattoir, which is on the main road to the campsite if travelling from Church Stretton. I found it a little distressing driving past this fairly frequently.

Site's response

Thank you for your kind words about the site- they are much appreciated. We do have a selection of young and mature trees around the site that provide "natural" areas for a variety of birds and wild life whilst providing screening and shade for our human and canine guests. We also provide recycling bins that can be taken to the pitches to make the recycling process easy for guests. We are a rural site surrounded by farms and their associated businesses as well as beautiful market towns, castles, eateries, cafes, independent shops and attractions.

Perfect stay

Trailer Tent - Electric Grass PitchesSep 2021

Enjoyed our short stay so much we have booked a week here for my birthday next July. The owners couldn't do enough for you even loaned us a tv aerial so hubby was happy. Spotlessly clean toilet and shower facilities really couldn't find fault with anything xx

Site's response

We are situated in a small valley in the rolling Corvedale Hills so TV reception does depend on the Caravan / motorhome aerial being used - some will pick up signal so won't. We do keep a small stock of external aerials for our guests to use if they are having problems. Satellite dishes and aerials do have to point in different directions to each other. If a guest is unsure / having issues please feel to ask us. The hills do provide an ever changing / scenic living landscape as a back drop to the site that is beautiful whatever the time of year. Thank you for taking the time to leave us a review and we look forward to seeing you next year.

Medium Tent - Electric Grass PitchesAug 2021

Lovely site with fabulous views. Very good to see that this site is big on recycling just about everything so it's nice to do our bit. Will definitely return.

Site's response

We are glad you enjoyed your stay. Thank you for taking the time to leave us a review it is much appreciated. We do try to encourage guests to recycle glass, tins, paper, cardboard, plastic and food waste - we even provide small containers that can be taken to the pitches or glamping pods to make separating and carrying the recycling easier to the larger bins. We are set in the rolling Corvedale Hills which provide a living / ever changing landscape as a backdrop to the site. We look forward to seeing you again in the future.
