Clear filters Nice woodland experience
VW-Type Campervan - Optional Electric Woodland Pitches Jun 2025 Lovely woodland setting, spacious and quiet.
Our pitch was amongst the trees and not over looked.
Toilets were good, hot water and all facilities they could do with a shower broom to wipe up after a shower.

Medium Tent - Optional Electric Woodland Pitches Jun 2025 Had a lovely stay at Alpine grove the site was perfect for a short stay people were really friendly and couldn’t do enough for us the only small negative was the showers were really hot & no way of turning them colder especially on a very hot day but overall very nice an a good weekend had .
Idyllic setting
VW-Type Campervan - Non Electric Woodland Pitches Jun 2025 This campsite is relatively small but so pretty! Only stayed the one night. It had a small playground area for children as well as a swimming pool - it was too cold so didn't feel like trying it.
The campsite would probably appeal to a wide variety of people.
Amazing
VW-Type Campervan - Optional Electric Woodland Pitches May 2025 Absolutely beautiful. The owners are so lovely and have done amazing things with the grounds. You can book a 45 minute slot in the heated outdoor pool.
You can camp in the woods without electric or like we did, camp in the woods with electric, or you can camp on grass or hardstanding pitches. You can also have campfires which is amazing! There's a little woodland walk that goes round the outskirts of the whole campsite, a little shop on site and a farm shop just up the road. It's not a massive site so not ridiculously busy. It is idyllic.

Our stay
Motorhome - Optional Electric Hardstanding Touring Pitches Apr 2025 A very nice site with a choice of pitches. We chose hard standing, which was a good size and a level pitch. Alpine Grove is in a lovely woodland setting with tall trees. There were plenty of little paths through the woodland on which to walk the dog.
The facilities were good with hot showers. It was nice to have a shop in reception that actually stocks bread and milk, as well as other essentials. The site is in a good location to visit south coast beaches and there are several pubs that serve good food quite close by.
Lovely, compact campsite
Motorhome - Optional Electric Hardstanding Touring Pitches Apr 2025 First time visiting this site and we were really impressed.
It's not a massive site, which we preferred, but there's a play area for children (not needed by us but great for families). The showers and toilets were really clean and also has under floor heating which was really appreciated. The weather wasn't great when we arrived or left, but the 2 days in between were dry enough for us to get out for long dog walks.
Would definitely visit again, hopefully when the weather is better.
Perfect woodland camping
VW-Type Campervan - Non Electric Woodland Pitches Apr 2025 We came with friends and we stayed in a non-electric woodland pitch in our vans and even though it rained, it was one of the best campsites we have stayed at.
The owners were friendly and very helpful, even let us move to another pitch as ours was like a quagmire after continuous rain. The facilities were clean and the showers were perfect and hot. The on site shop had all the basics you would need, and the heated pool was a big hit with our friend's 11 year old.
The bird song in the mornings just made it perfect, we will definitely be staying again.
Wonderful woodland gem!
Medium Tent - Non Electric Woodland Pitches Apr 2025 Excellent woodland site with lots of trees and rhododendrons (and some WWII pill boxes). Superb customer service from the friendly owner Keith. It rained on our second day so Keith texted us to ask when we'd like our firewood, to ensure it remained dry.
Strongly recommended, so glad we camped at this site!

My 8 year old had lots of fun, it was in a great location and we loved watching the owls in the trees at night. Would recommend.

So relaxing
Medium Tent - Non Electric Woodland Pitches Sep 2024 A lovely quiet spot to camp for a night (or longer if we had the time!), beautiful and quiet in the woods. It had everything you'd need on site, a friendly welcome and a nice footpath off the site for walking the dog.
Well maintained forest setting with swimming pool

Even though we there for bank holiday and the site was fully booked, it was remarkably quiet. If we visited again, we would avoid the woodland setting as the bark floor covering got everywhere and was very dirty.
We had a down pour of rain and we felt we were in the dark and dank for 2 days after. The toilet block was well maintained and the owners had rented extra luxury showers for the weekend. Very well stocked shop. The location is in the middle of nowhere with nothing reachable on foot. We walked the dog to the nearest pub but quite a bit was on the road.
But, if you're willing to jump in the car, there are some great family days out within an hours' drive.

Small Tent - Optional Electric Grass Pitches Aug 2024 I really appreciate the thought that has gone into this site.
The pitches are a good distance apart and tucked away for privacy. The toilet and showers are good and very clean. The play park is right outside and can occupy a child for a good length of time. Washing up station ideal and recycling point like a filing system. The pool is heated and big enough for a family to have good fun. Lots of water points. Woodland walk is flat and simple, ideal for all ages.
I would definitely stay here again, for the quiet and the trees.
Great family friendly camp sure
Small Tent - Optional Electric Grass Pitches Aug 2024 We visited for 1 night. We had a lovely woodland pitch, there was also the choice of a meadow and an open field, plus hard standing pitches.
It was well laid out and had a good amount of space per pitch. The toilet facilities were good, they were very clean and well looked after.
Lucky we brought a mallet as the woodland ground was very firm! The compost toilet was a great idea, but I wasn't brave enough to try it!
There were a lot of families there and there was a lovely sound of children playing. The lodges looked good, we might have to come back to try one!
Beautiful forest campsite - great for families
Large Tent - Non Electric Woodland Pitches Aug 2024 We had a lovely five nights camping. The site has lots of extras such as a small swimming pool (kids loved), camp shop (very useful), food vans and a great playground/table tennis.
The toilets and washing areas were all kept very clean. It's also a beautiful campsite.
Lovely little campsite
Large Tent - Optional Electric Grass Pitches Aug 2024 Lovely little campsite, the staff were lovely and so helpful.
The pool was small but we booked the slots easily and we had it to ourselves every day, so the size was perfect! Only 8 minutes from a big Tesco and Lidl, only 25 minutes to the beach! We really enjoyed our stay.
Only 1 thing I will say is the showers were boiling and there was no way to change the temperature, so showering children wasn't the easiest task. However, there was a family bathroom with a little bath if you wanted to use it.
We would come back definitely!

Fabulous
Large Tent - Optional Electric Grass Pitches Aug 2024 I stayed three nights with two boys and my partner.
The campsite was situated in a wood under trees, so cool in the first two days we were there and great shelter from the rain on the last. The site was clean, family-orientated and best of all, eco friendly! The pool was great fun but remember to book!
The staff were hospitable and very welcoming.

Medium Tent - Optional Electric Grass Pitches Aug 2024 We had a lovely week staying here as a Base for fossil hunting along the Dorset coast.
Great location with beaches close by and shops close by too. Nice addition was the outdoor pool which was very inviting after a hot day fossil hunting. Shower, toilet and washing facilities were great. Hit and miss with the hot water, depending on when you used the showers but overall, very good. Loved how eco conscious the owners are with very good recycling facilities for rubbish.
Owners were really really nice and great to talk to and always helpful. My son took a liking to Tiggs the cat too, who was very friendly and got him through missing his own cat at home. The park is also great for keeping the kids entertained while you make food or wash up, or just when you're spending a day relaxing on the site.
There was a wrap truck there for food when we arrived which was very welcome when I didn't want to cook after setting up camp late in the day. And my, the lamb burrito wrap with halloumi was the nicest wrap I've ever eaten. A nice addition for the owners to allow a food truck on the site.
All is quiet here after half 10, which is nice, especially when you can relax outside with the fire pit and no noisy guests ruining your peace.
We cannot wait to come back here and the first thing my son said when we left was that we have got to go back there.
Wonderful site with a wild feeling
Medium Tent - Non Electric Woodland Pitches Aug 2024 My favourite campsite so far. We were located in a woodland pitch which had a lovely wild feel and plenty of space. Option to hire firepits was great as was the picnic bench on our pitch.
Owners were helpful and informative on arrival. Facilities were spotless.
Only criticism was the swimming pool was a tad cold.
