Lovely site!
VW-Type Campervan - Electric Hardstanding Combined Grass Pitches Jul 2025 This was our first holiday with the campervan, so we didn't know what to expect. However we needn't have worried as this is a lovely site! It was quiet and scenic, set in a field a fair distance from the road.
The shower and toilet facilities were excellent. It's a few minutes walk from a number of footpaths, leading out onto the Levels. The next village (Draycott) is 15 minutes walk away along the Strawberry Line, with a super community shop, and a farm shop is about 8 minutes walk along the road. There is also the Rodney Stoke Inn next door, in which we had several excellent meals. We would thoroughly recommend the site.
We loved it so much that we stayed another night, after first contacting our genial host, Tom!

VW-Type Campervan - Electric Hardstanding Combined Grass Pitches Jun 2025 Campsite was very clean and the toilets and showers were fantastic.
The pub food and staff was also really good, definitely will be going back.

Large Tent - Electric Grass Pitches Jun 2025 This is a fantastic little site, lovely and quiet in a beautiful area, facilities were really clean, nothing too fancy just nice and simple just what you need.

A very small, basic site VW-Type Campervan - Electric Hardstanding Combined Grass Pitches Jun 2025 A very small, basic site. Nice and quiet but no views or anything to look at. No soap in the ladies for 2 days - we had to ask for it.
Only 2 showers, one of which in the ladies, was hardly more than a fine mist. Dog mess for 2 days running behind our camper with no one available to tell. We cleared up the first one ourselves. A more visible presence of the owner would have, I think, improved things. Saving grace was a good pub next to the site.
Quiet site Motorhome - Electric Hardstanding Combined Grass Pitches Jun 2025 Small site which needs some tidying up. Sad to see only weeds growing in the flower pots. Nice size pitches.
Only 2 toilets and 2 showers for ladies (gents same) which were not cleanest - plug hole full of debris. Very basic. Secluded site with no views, but quite quiet and peaceful.
Arrival was hit and miss as a "manager out shopping" sign stayed up all weekend!!

Motorhome - Electric Hardstanding Combined Grass Pitches May 2025 Lovely place. Great pub that's friendly with great food. Very very nice, I'll return. Staff superb.
Disappointing Trailer Tent - Electric Grass Pitches May 2025 As all the reviews say, the toilet and shower block and one sink for washing up is clean and modern, that's it except for the pub.
Location is not as quiet as we had hoped for, you can hear the traffic from the busy main road and the pub has an outdoor children's play area that is next to the site. We were also looking for places to walk the dog, but sadly, it just has the main road or back lanes to walk around.
On arrival, Tom just told me the padlock code to enter the site, then handed me the famous A4 sheet of rules and then left us to unlock and enter the site, hence the one star for service. We will not be coming back or recommend.
Just as we hoped
Motorhome - Electric Hardstanding Combined Grass Pitches Apr 2025 As described and perfect for us. Not many others stayed on our 3 nights. Was nice and quiet, toilets were immaculate and our pitch by the tree at the bottom was level. One day we did the NT walk at Cheddar Gorge and the next, a circular from the Sand Point in Weston-Super-Mare.

Medium Tent - Electric Grass Pitches Mar 2025 Everyone on site was extremely welcoming and hospitable. Tom was very friendly and approachable with any questions we had.
The shower and bathroom facilities were immaculate and very warm 🙂
The location itself is great for people looking for a small village experience, with 3 pubs in walking distance and endless fields to explore! With a supermarket just a 5 minute drive away.
We would absolutely recommend staying here.
Rodney Stoke camping site
Sprinter-Type Campervan - Electric Hardstanding Combined Grass Pitches Mar 2025 Adults only site, so nice and quiet. Small site too so not overcrowded. Dogs are allowed and most other campers had dogs and all were well behaved.
The facilities were the best I have been to in terms of the showers, toilets, washing area etc. All are indoors and so clean, they looked brand spanking new. The non-affiliated pub next door was really good, friendly staff and the food was amazing. Excellent WIFI in the pub too.
Apart from the pub and local walks, there is nothing there. We took an Uber to Cheddar Gorge which was about £10 and spent the day there. Cheddar Gorge is definitely worth a visit, stunning scenery.
We went in March and there was plenty of places to park, we just chose not to pack up the van and drive there. The only downside we found was no WIFI on site.
100% we will stay again if we are in that area.

Rodney Stoke VW-Type Campervan - Electric Hardstanding Combined Grass Pitches Feb 2025 Overall the site was fine, but I felt that the women's showers were poor. There was little water flow and the timer seemed defunct.
The washing up facilities need to be increased to a second sink and I felt that the coin system for water was inconvenient. At £24 a night it was fine, but anymore would seem expensive.
A well located site for local attractions.

Motorhome - Electric Hardstanding Combined Grass Pitches Oct 2024 The site was clean and tidy, with small hardstanding pitches.
The facilities are spotless clean and nice and warm. The only drawback is the coin machine is outside the cubicle. Be sure you're not going to be in the middle of washing your hair and running out of time, then having to nip out to put in more money. The lights are also on a 10 minute timer which went out while dressing. This is not a complaint and would not stop us visiting again.
The owner was very helpful and quick to answer the phone on arrival.

There is no WiFi which I did not check before I booked.
Would recommend to anyone wanting to chill out, lots of lovely local attractions and strawberries to die for.

Poor reception Motorhome - Electric Hardstanding Combined Grass Pitches Aug 2024 Poor reception. No staff, difficult to reach by telephone and felt customer unfriendly.
Despite paying in advance, we had to spend the first night in the parking lot. At around 5pm, I tried in vain to make contact (by telephone and email). We had telephone contact upon arrival around 7pm, but we were told that because we arrived after 6pm, we had to spend the night in the parking lot. The parking lot was a mess and bins for the campsite were full of green waste.
The next day, we moved to the campsite and looked for a spot ourselves because the manager was nowhere to be found. We understood from others that they had arrived at the campsite after 6pm after the manager had given them the gate code by telephone. After two more nights, we left without the manager making himself known to us.
Peaceful, clean and tidy
Medium Tent - Electric Grass Pitches Aug 2024 Peaceful, clean and tidy. Not a huge site but still equipped enough. Easy walking distance between Wookey and Cheddar.
Nice level pitches plus some hardstanding for campers and vans. Beautiful location.
