Nestled on the outskirts of Wells, The Lorax Patch is a peaceful haven in the Somerset countryside. There are just six spacious grass tent pitches, along with a luxurious Shepherd's Hut. Every camping pitch is supplied with a fire pit and picnic bench, so you just need to bring the marshmallows. For days out, Glastonbury is just ten minutes away, with Cheddar and its famous gorge only 20 minutes from the site!

About the site
Set on five acres of farmland, this small off-grid site is perfect for peace and quiet, whilst in easy reach of some of Somerset's most popular attractions. The farm rears livestock and grows fruit and vegetables, which you can sample if it is the right time of year, and offers a truly rustic experience for all. The site offers six spacious 10m x 10m non electric grass pitches. Each pitch welcomes tent campers only, with up to eight guests per pitch. You will find a large unfurnished yurt, please bring everything you would, minus the tent. There is also a furnished family yurt with a super king size bed, and two pull-out single mattresses for kids. All bedding is provided, please bring your own towels! Yurts have a picnic bench and fire pit outside. For a little more luxury, try the shepherds hut which comes equipped with a super king size bed, two bunk beds for kids, a kitchenette and a shower. All of the pitches and Shepherd's Hut are also supplied with a picnic bench and fire pit. Bring along your marshmallows or simply cosy up around the warmth of the fire and enjoy a relaxing evening in the open. BBQs are also welcome, and the site often has homemade produce available to purchase. Please note, the site is dog free.
