About Chase Camping at Tackeroo Campsite

Nestled amongst tall pine, evergreen and spruce trees, this almost wild campsite is perfect for those looking to unwind in nature. Set within the Cannock Chase Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty, you will find picturesque nature trails and cycle routes all around. Tents, trailer tents, caravans, campervans, motorhomes and RVs are welcome across non electric grass and hardstanding pitches, each allowing up to eight guests. Large A-class or Tag Axle Motorhome - Non Electric Hardstanding And Grass Pitches Aug 2024

Given 5 for facilities as its known there are no toilets or showers, but there are plenty of chemical toilet emptying stations and fresh water taps, plus bins. Great, quiet place in the middle of the Chase Woods. Will definitely stay again.

Sprinter-Type Campervan - Non Electric Hardstanding And Grass PitchesAug 2024

We liked this site for its simplicity, atmosphere and location. It's on the MTB trail from Cannock Chase, which is perfect for instant access to the trails, of which there are many. The site has no facilities other than water, chemical waste, recycling and general waste. It's a very natural site. Although there is a steady trickle of bikers and walkers through the site, it's not intrusive. In fact it's quite interesting to watch. At night we heard owls. It's in the forest but there's plenty of flat grassy areas to pitch on. It's pretty much flat. There's a hard standing area, but the grassy areas are firm and more inviting. Price wise I'd say it's higher end, once you've added on a couple of extras - additional person, early arrival. It's location close to the visitors centre does offset the cost of a days parking. The site isn't staffed, it doesn't need to be, but a cheerful member of staff did catch up with us in the evening to check on our booking and make sure that we were happy with everything. It has a very relaxed feel.
