About Birds and Bees Campsite

If you are searching for peace and quiet, this family friendly site is an ideal spot to unwind. Just a 20 minute drive from the glorious Suffolk Coast, spend days out swimming and sunbathing and evenings wildlife spotting and admiring the sunset. Conscientiously mown into the long grass, the site offers 16 individual non electric tent pitches, within three separate meadows connected via weaving pathways and surrounded by hedgerows and mature trees. The Nature's Way is the most secluded area of the site, furthest from reception but great for those looking for an escape. Meadow Rise is a four acre meadow with wonderful views and sheltered pitches. To be closest to reception, the Clover's Corner is perfect, within 100m walk of everything onsite. There truly is something to suit campers of all persuasions. Let children lose themselves among the thick grasses, playing hide and seek on the pathways. BBQs and campfires are also welcome onsite, perfect for that traditional camping experience. Cars must also be parked off the field in the sunken car park out of sight, and trolleys are provided to transport belongings to the pitch. Please note, this is pet free site.

Birds and Bees Campsite is open from 17/05 to 07/09.

Facilities and amenities

Onsite there are five showers and five toilets, heated by gas and solar power, along with a composting toilet central to the camping fields. At reception, you can pick up local meat produce from the freezer, as well as luxury ice cream and fresh herbs available to pick and an honesty shop. If you are looking for a pub, The White Horse in Rendham is a 20 minute walk away.

A note from the site themselves...

We've created the Birds and Bees Campsite as part of our small family working farm, the grass, giant hedges and trees that surround you are full of natural sights and sounds. We realise the importance of time spent talking to each other in a peaceful and tech free environment, maintaining this on our little site remains close to our hearts.

We're also really proud of our clean and plentiful hot showers located at our affectionately named 'Beehive', which also provides our guests with the Honey Pot honesty shop, kitchen and connection to civilization if you prefer not to go 100% wild. We know not all campsites are the same and we're happy to say ours may be quite different, we'll surely give you a warm welcome and look forward to seeing you soon, James and Emma

Small Tent - Clover's Corner Non Electric Grass PitchesSep 2023

Birds & Bees is perfect for anyone wanting to give solo camping a go. I'd been camping with my friends and family but never alone and felt safe and well looked after (but not hassled) the whole time. Facilities are great, fridge/freezer, kitchen area with microwave, kettle and even charging docs for phones etc. I kept things basic for my stay but you have the choice if you didn't want to live off tinned food all week! Toilets and showers clean and tidy. Even had an eco friendly tree bog which was helpful in the middle of the night! Lovely peaceful site, on the first night I had the whole place to myself then joined by another couple of campers but still was able to keep to ourselves. The site was about 20 minutes/half hour to a lot of places I wanted to visit so perfect location for me. Sutton Hoo, Rendlesham Forest, and Woodbridge all great places to explore. Extremely happy with this little place and all it has to offer, will definitely come back again when next exploring the area.

Fantastic campsite

Small Tent - Nature's Way Non Electric Grass PitchesJul 2023

Nice "remote" pitches, clean showers, fridges etc. Strong on the honesty/trust type relationship between campers and campers, and owners which creates a good vibe. Fantastically quiet, good wildlife and a very accommodating and helpful owner. I'll be back.
