Ideal for those searching for a peaceful escape, enjoy a truly private and idyllic stay where you are just 15 minutes from the coast and have the 1066 way on your doorstep allowing you to get to historic Battle in about 40 minutes through the Great Battle Woods. There is just one shepherd's hut to ensure guests have a private and quiet stay, a perfect escape from city life. Enjoy a restful night's sleep in the comfy double bed and can wake up to the sound of birds chirping as you switch on the TV to play your favourite DVD. Quality Egyptian cotton linen is provided. The ensuite has a power shower, sink and toilet. There is a small kitchen area for self-catering, equipped with a kettle, sink, toaster, microwave oven, a single hob as well as crockery and utensils. Complimentary tea, coffee and milk are also provided for your morning brew! There is also a small dining table and chairs inside the hut. Outside you will find a table and chairs, two deck chairs and a large fire pit with a BBQ grill for meals in the open. Logs, a selection of games and DVDs are provided. Perfectly located in the East Sussex countryside to be within easy reach of local attractions whilst still being set back from roads so you can still enjoy a relaxing stay. Visit the coast and wander around the shops and restaurants in Hastings just 15 minutes away. Or, take a short stroll to the nearby golf course for a fantastic breakfast, lunch or dinner! Visit the owner's own horses, alpacas and geese during your stay! You are also likely to spot deer, foxes and badgers as the site is so close to the Great Battle Woods and the 1066 way. Sorry, no pets are allowed. There is a fire pit outside of the shepherd's hut for campfires and BBQs.

The shepherd's hut is heated and has an ensuite with a power shower, a loo, sink and heated towel rail. There is also a small kitchen area with a private garden with a sink, microwave oven, fridge, toaster, a single hob kettle as well as crockery and utensils. There is also complimentary tea, coffee and milk. Outside is a fire pit and seating, logs are provided.
There are several pubs nearby, The Harrow Inn, The New Inn and The Black Horse, all of which are under a ten minute drive away. Or, only a ten minute walk away is the Sedlescombe Golf Club's restaurant for some food. There is a Sainsbury's a ten minute drive away if you need to pick up any essentials.

Things to do on site and in the Battle area
For keen walkers and nature lovers the 1066 footpath can be accessed from the lane, this can take you to Battle within 40 minutes or just stroll around the countryside taking in the peace and quiet.
For golf lovers Sedlescombe Golf is a couple of minutes walk away, enjoy 9 or 18 holes and then return to the clubhouse for a great meal and a drink!
For the coast, Hastings is a 15 minute drive away enjoy a seaside stroll or a spot of sunbathing and splashing around in the sea. Here, there are also many shops and restaurants to explore as well as the Hastings Cotemporary, a modern art gallery.
