The Limeburners Camping offers a peaceful stay, within five minutes of Billingshurst and the South Downs National Park. There are a number of grass pitches for tents, campervans and motorhomes, some of which have electric hook up. For glamping, there is a heated camping pod for those wanting something a little extra. You'll be surrounded by picturesque countryside and walking routes, with Horsham within a 15 minute drive too.

Unfortunately the Limeburners pub was closed for refurbishment and we were not aware of this until we arrived. Otherwise everything about the campsite was fine - large pitches, good facilities etc. No option for recycling, not even bottles.

If you are used to wild camping and rough facilities then it will be the perfect place to stay. At least friends could stay as close to each other as they liked as there was no 6 metre rule for safety like other places! Landlord was friendly enough. Most disappointing was that there are no facilities to dispose of grey water, in such dry conditions, it would have been ideal to water some of the trees. Chemical disposal area unhygienic and no towels in either ladies or gents to wipe your hands.

Thank you for your feedback, Patricia. Toilets and showers serviced twice a day. There were no hand towels in the loos because there is a hand dryer and towels were taken away during Covid. Unfortunately, we can't control how other guests use the facilities, but always try and keep on top of cleanliness. We have never had a grey waste disposal, we have only got a chemical disposal. We have never had a complaint about it before, but it is what it says on the tin really.

We wanted an escape for a few days, but had no camping gear, so the pods were a great solution. We took our duvets and pillows, so had a very good night sleep. The pod has a kettle and a little fridge, they also supplied a box with plates and cups- so very well equipped. Showers and toilets always clean and with toilet paper and soap at all times. Nearby there is a circular walk and shops if needed. It was an amazing experience all in all.

Great site. We visited Nutbourne vineyard so very conveniently located. Hoped to have an evening meal at the pub, but unfortunately problems with the extractor fan in the kitchen so they had to close the kitchen. No fault of the manager. He was waiting for Fullers to sort it out. Would definitely go back great location. Beautiful part of West Sussex.

Beautiful pub and food. The campsite itself was deathly quiet in the evening and the dog walking area was a narrow path around a field that we walked in 5 minutes. The pub closed at 9pm. You need coins to use the showers. Our pitch hook up was on the wrong side so our van opened onto next doors area and our outdoor area was on the other side of our motorhome which had no light and meant walking around from the door to our table and chairs constantly.

Really lovely campsite with plenty of space around our pitch. Trees and hedges for shade and a great area to walk the dog in the field next door. Enjoyed a drink at the Limeburners pub too. Earplugs required at night as I hadn’t realised it’s on the Gatwick flight path but a comfortable nights sleep once earplugs in! Shower a bit hot/cold but it really didn’t matter. Main thing was shower block was lovely and clean 👍

No hot water for washing up, and lights for showers and toilet area turned off. Overall, the site was clean and well kept, in a quiet location.

A good campsite. We used it for the Goodwood festival of speed, which is about half an hour away, so not far at all. The showers and toilets were good and there are sinks available to do washing up too.
