Amazing glamping weekend

May 2023

We stayed the weekend of the 19th of May at Southwood Park and had the best glamping experience! The owners always made sure that we were super comfortable and had everything we needed. Amongst other things, we suggested that a bench in the shower rooms would be useful and shortly after, Adam had arranged it for us! The place is so new, clean, organised, well thought out and there is something for everyone. There is a playground, board games and books for the children, a pool table and a bar for the adults and there is even a fire pit and a pizza oven!! It was a very special weekend and Adam and Rachel made it unforgettable for us!! We will definitely go back!

Site's response

Thank you so much for leaving us this review, we are really glad that you had a great time! We all hope to see you back with us soon. Thanks, Adam.

Bell Tent - Luna Belle Tents (6m)Aug 2023

This is a lovely, small campsite. Absolutely perfect for families with young children - the site is secure and enclosed and there is a lovely play area for under 12s. It is not really suitable for teens as the campsite is very quiet after 9pm - my children were told off by another camping family because they wanted to go to bed and my children were still playing outside. The facilities are kept very clean and the showers are wonderful. The social tent is a great idea for rainy days/nights, and you can also order really tasty food there (it can take quite a while to prepare though). Location wise, you mostly have to drive to surrounding attractions for entertainment during the day. I would definitely recommend this campsite for families with younger children.

Bell Tent - Luna Belle Tents (4m)Aug 2023

Last minute get away, first time in a bell tent and loved it. Clean, tidy, with friendly staff who were really helpful. Couple of minor points/observations. We took our dog, but couldn't find any convenient dog walks close to the site. The public footpaths were heavily overgrown and I wasn't going to track through nettles in shorts. This isn't in the sites control, but as most people staying at the site had a dog with them, perhaps an addition to the welcome pack with some idea of dog walks from the site that don't need to go in the car. As I say, was a last minute getaway, new to the camping thing, so don't have all the gear (definitely have no idea though) but a motion sensor light at the pot washing sinks may be useful. Trying to wash away stir fry from my pots in the dark with cold water was... Interesting. Lovely site, and well placed to get to the places we wanted to see. Wish we had had longer. I would return and would recommend 👍🏻
