Buckhurst Campsite offers camping and glamping in the Sussex countryside, a great location within easy reach of Hastings. Welcoming and family-friendly, the site provides non-electric grass pitches for tents, motorhomes and caravans with modern shared facilities, including a small shop. Could not be run any better. It was run to a high standard by the two sisters. Very pleased with our stay, thanks.

Very clean and tidy site. Asked if there was anything we needed on arrival which is good service. Would recommend this site and it is excellent for a base to sightsee from.

Good showers and bathroom. Fridge and freezers available, campfires allowed, and very friendly and helpful staff. Also have a shop that sells essentials and a tuck shop for coffees and food in the morning. Will definitely be going back.

Really nice site, grab a spot anywhere around the perimeter of a large field, decent toilet/shower block, friendly staff. Also an onsite food wagon. Perfect spot for a chilled, laid back stay.

Loved our time here - spacious pitches and all the tents in the large field were really well spaced out. Clean toilet and shower facilities. Helpful staff. On site caravan cafe which looked promising but we didn't need to use. Children and dog friendly! Great location for exploring the area and we spotted a couple of walkable pubs with good reviews, which we'd visit when we come back to this site.

We arrived around 3 pm - a lady checked us in when we arrived. We were happily left to set up camp and had a lovely evening. We left by 10am the next morning. We would stay again.

Ground is very soft so be prepared you might get stuck, but there were helpful staff that were quick to help anyone that was stuck.

Booked for 3 nights and knew there was no electric. Quite busy, which is expected as it was a bank holiday. Great location and cleanliness and a small hut making food and drinks. 4 sinks for washing up. However, it only 3 showers and 3 toilets for such a busy campsite and the room is very cramped. People brushing their teeth in the sinks in the toilets as there was nowhere else to do this, so people waiting to wash their hands after the toilet are having to wait. The showers are cramped and as I said, no sinks. Also, I could not find 1 plug anywhere, so you can't dry your hair. Yes, I'm camping, but I don't stay around the tent 24/7 as I like to go out and explore. I felt that there was no noise control! People were still playing loud music until 2am! Kids screaming and dogs barking at 6am which was not great!

The stay was okay and we met some nice neighbours, but there's only 3 showers per gender and if you're not up by 7am, expect freezing cold showers. Also, with dumping your rubbish, we had to walk a good 7ish minutes to get rid of our rubbish in their main bins. Another thing that was bad in our opinion was having to leave the site by 10am. 12am would have been much better, like with everywhere else we've stayed Other than that, the actual stay was okay.

Nice fields near Hastings, Battle, and a large Sainsbury's; a lovely spot to watch the sunset. Pleasant and clean, was not too busy and was able to check in early.

Very family and dog-friendly campsite, plenty of space to pitch up. Other guests obeyed by the 11pm cut off for noise which was nice, and the campsite was beautifully quiet throughout the night. The showers and toilets were clean and the shop was a handy addition. We will definitely stay again!

Staff were super friendly and helpful, They did everything they could to accommodate, including bringing the freezer blocks to your tent. Only downfall could be a few more essentials in the shop to buy on site, but it is only the reception. Would definitely come back.

The pictures of the bell tents aren't the same as what we turned up to. For £180 for the 2 nights, we did expect a little bit more.
