We know Gary, the site owner, not a problem for him if any problems arise which they never have. He runs a great site, everything is spot on. Toilets cleaned and showers. Site is perfect for dogs as the field is great. Our stay was super, as always. Gary always pops round to make sure everyone is happy. All in all, a brilliant, well ran site.

This was our first time on this area of Anglesey and it was just beautiful. The beaches close by to the campsite were picturesque and not at all crowded. However, the best thing about our trip was the campsite! Gary is a wonderful host and cannot do enough for you! This is a relatively new campsite and the shower block brand new and immaculate. The pitches are well spaced and all have electric hook up and your own water tap. We cannot recommend staying here highly enough! We will be back very soon.

The site is well located with some amazing views from all around. The toilets and showers were all modern and clean. Great value for money. Loved that it was over 21’s only and dog friendly. There is some building work going on to expand the site and add more facilities. Friendly owner who gave tips on places to visit. If you have a camper van it is easily accessible to get on the site. Would definitely use the site again.

We had a really lovely time here. The view and the surroundings are fantastic; we'd have to visit the island of Anglesey again for longer to see everything there is to see. Unfortunately the weather wasn't great, but since it was so lovely at Gary's, it wasn't so bad. On my birthday, Gary even drove us to the neighbouring White Eagle restaurant and showed us a few things around the island. It's so lovely; he puts so much love into everything he does. The toilet facilities were clean and were among the best on our four-week tour of Wales. There are additional toilets all around. There is also a larger area for dogs to run around. If we come back to Anglesey, we'll always go to Gary!

My husband and I stayed here in May. The site was perfect. The pitches are a good size and there are plenty to choose from. The facilities were great, two female and two male showers, changing room and large washrooms. Gary the campsite owner, was incredibly friendly and very helpful. Genuinely nice fella and nothing is too much trouble for him. 1.5 miles from Church bay, where you will find coastal walks, and secluded bays. Would highly recommend and we will definitely be back in the future.

What a find and I'm reluctant to share it with anyone else! Firstly, Gary the owner is so friendly and knowledgeable about the area. He is busy rewilding the grounds including planting (from memory) some 4000 trees, and hedgerows. He has also created a lake area and recently replanted a meadow. Secondly, great facilities including shower block (with hairdryer), outdoor washing up area, additional loos around the campsite and a beautiful meadow specifically for off lead dog walking. Thirdly, fantastic views of the Irish Sea, and surrounded by wildlife. As we packed up to leave, two red kites soared above us. A perfect ending to our weekend. Gary has spent a lot of time, energy and money on this site, and we will return to see progress made.

Picturesque and quiet. Unfortunate with the weather, but the sun made a glorious appearance on Sunday 😎 Gary, the owner and host, was brilliant with info and kindness. Lots of walks nearby and a brilliant cafe, 'Wavecrest', by the beach and only a 20 min walk from site.

Beautiful, quiet site with clean facilities and a great off lead dog field. Beach/cove a 30 minute walk down country lanes with a cafe and outdoor seating. A shame about the weather on two of the 4 days, but it didn't spoil it for us

Whole place is immaculate. Facilities must be brand new or freshly re-done. Wi-Fi worked no issues all weekend. Plenty of space on each pitch including water and electric and a light and bench. Fantastic site, can't knock it. Short drive to Church Bay and 25 minutes, you're in Holyhead Didn't realise how useful the enclosed dog field would be either. Most campsites, you are lead in lead out and they never get a run.

I really enjoyed my stay at Ty Cochyn. The shower / toilet block was spotless and was modern and recently built. The owner Gary was very friendly and welcoming and his love of Anglesey and his desire to make the site something very special was obvious from our chats. The location is excellent, walking distance to Church Bay and a very nice pub with great views! There are many beautiful walks within easy reach. I recommend the site to others without hesitation.

We had the absolute pleasure of staying at this site for the weekend. The place is spotless, you want to clean your shoes before you go in the toilet block, there is humour included across the site, giving a totally relaxed feel. The owner, wow, what a nice man him and his wife are just the best humans who couldn't do enough to help out with walks and information on the location. He even saved my husband's day as he forgot the one thing I asked him to bring - a phone charger. Currently looking at the calendar to re-book. Amazing place, so much hard work has been done on this site, it's success will be a credit to you.

Great campsite, owner extremely helpful. If tent, camping be aware that the site is quite exposed to the wind (probably not a problem in summer and may well depend on the particular pitch).

Only booked 2 nights for a short break. Wanted somewhere quiet for a little bit of 'R&R' and this site didn't disappoint. Yes, it's fairly remote but if you enjoy country walks and/or cycling, it's not an issue. The toilets & showers are spotless. All the reviews I read before booking said that Gary, the host, is a great guy. I agree, he is! Super friendly and helpful, nothing is too much trouble for him 👍 he comes to check on you, not in an intrusive, policing way, just a genuinely caring way 👍

We've just come back from the most amazing weekend camping as first time campers. We arrived late at 8pm due to traffic on the Friday night and Gary still came over to meet us and to show us where everything was. Gary was the most welcoming/caring host I've ever come across. He even gave us some advice/tips with the tent. He was always making sure we were all okay and everyone was safe. He even put a big motorhome in front of our tent at night time to stop the wind from hitting us as much. The shower facilities were beautiful. Modern, clean and had hair dryers in. He was always stocking up the toilets with toilet roll to make sure there was never none. The site itself was beautiful, even had a dog field where the dogs can run free and it's all secure. There's still renovations going on but I can see this will be an amazing site when it's all finished. We went to Church Bay Beach (5 mins drive) and Trearddur Bay (20 mins drive) and these are a must! Made me feel like I was on holiday abroad. There's also a pub nearby, 3 mins by car called Church Bay Inn. The views from the beer garden are absolutely unbelievable. Normal prices, wouldn't say it's too expensive as I've read on other reviews. Lovely walks around the site. Electric hook ups on each pitch. water and even a picnic bench for each camper which we loved. Shower blocks are right next to where you pitch your tent. If you want a weekend full of tranquillity, beautiful views, an a host that goes above and beyond then book here, you won't regret it. Gary you were amazing, we hope to come back again very soon!

We arrived on a dull day. Gary was there to greet us. The weather was changing quickly. High winds and rain on the way. Gary said we could pitch anywhere we felt safe. After driving up to the camping pitches, Gary advised that a lower pitch might give more protection and another camper had arrived and were pitching there. It was a hardstanding with grass. We pitched on the grass. The wind was gale force and rain torrential. We battled on. Laying and anchoring the groundsheet was interesting to say the least. After around an hour battling the elements, we had our Coleman Weathermaster up. We were soaked, our dog was soaked and a puddle inside the tent but we'd done it. We settled in for a rough night. Gary checked up on us which was so thoughtful. After a very windy night, we woke to a brighter day. Gary informed us that other people in caravans had left due to the weather. We vowed to make the most of our trip. The site is beautiful. Well laid out. Different levels so you're not on top of each other. Main toilets and shower are at the top of the site. More toilets at the bottom. These are of a very high standard. Absolutely spotless. Electric hand dryer! Very fancy. There are lots of hardstandings for caravans and campers. Planting of trees is well thought out and when matured, will provide both privacy and protection from the elements. A short walk up the hill to the main toilets/showers. These are exceptional. 2 toilets, 2 showers and a large changing room. Well light. Timed lighting. Showers were amazing (once I'd worked out how to adjust 🙄). Sink area with soap. Hairdryer and mirror. Very roomy so you're not getting in anyone's way. Every pitch has a wooden picnic table. All pitches have EHU, lamp and a tap. Beware water pressure is fierce. Caught us out a few times 🤣. The views from the top of the site are amazing out to sea. All pitches have lovely views of the surrounding countryside. There is a washing up area. Areas have been create by clever planting to create nice walks. There is a large, secure dog field where your four legged friend can run free. 24 hr CCTV so it's safe and secure. Access to the site is a narrow road but we only encountered one other car when arriving or leaving the site during our stay. It's close to Church Bay which is beautiful. We walked the coastal paths which have breath-taking views. There is a lovely café and The Lobster Pot restaurant. Gary arrived around 9am each morning. He would come over to check we were ok. Gary couldn't do enough for us. He is the nicest person you could hope to meet. Gary informed us about things to do and places we might want to visit. He even lent us his book of coastal walks. He has more plans to develop the site further. (Possible lake!) We can't wait to return to see these. The site is well managed and spotless. There are horses in the field next to the dog run. We had a few young cows try to join us and Gary ushered them back to their field. It was so quiet and peaceful. Just the sound of sheep and distant tractors. Just what we wanted. When it was time to pack up we were gutted to be leaving. Gary made us feel so welcome. We will definitely return and would highly recommend this campsite.
