Just a few miles north of the lake after which it is named, this is an area you'll want to visit again and again. The site offers pitches for tourers and campers with electric hook-ups, including pitches for motorhomes and larger tents. Non-members welcome.

The more energetic can enjoy a variety of local walking trails, and Lake Bala has facilities for sailing, fishing, canoeing and windsurfing. Local resorts with good sandy beaches include Prestatyn, Rhyl, Colwyn Bay, Llandudno, Harlech, Barmouth, Fairbourne and Aberdovy.
Snowdon, Wales' highest peak, is at the heart of the national park, and a return train journey to the fantastic new visitor centre - and café - at the summit takes around two and a half hours, which includes around half an hour at the top to enjoy the fabulous views.
There are other fascinating train journeys in the area, with seven steam railway lines nearby, including Bala Lake Railway and the Ffestiniog Railway.
