Just ten minutes from Caernarfon and nestled at the foothills of Snowdon, Llys Derwen Caravan and Camping is a family-friendly site that offers a peaceful base for Snowdonia. Tents are welcome on non electric grass pitches and tourers can pitch up on electric grass pitches. Within 20 minutes of the coast you will be in a prime location for days out at local attractions like Caernarfon Caslte or exploring the surrounding landscapes!

Absolutely stunning little campsite. Could not fault it in any way. Everything was top notch and spotlessly clean. Nathan, the site owner, was super friendly and gave us lots of helpful tips. Looking forward to a return visit soon.

A campsite which has been in the family for over 25 years and now the younger generation are running it. The site is easy to find using satnav, the grounds are beautifully kept and they have just installed a new reception area, which blends into the surroundings. The shower block is immaculate and smells divine. Huge dog walking field is a bonus. If you enjoy outdoor activities this is close to so many, Dinorwig Quarry, The Slate Museum, Yr Wyddfa and of course the fastest zipwire in the world! Not too far away is Black Rock Sands, a beautiful beach. Nathan was on hand for any queries and was most helpful. Would definitely recommend staying here.

Stayed for one night here after heading from Ireland and Anglesey. Very impressed with the facilities, atmosphere, compactness and ease. Really relaxing stay. Refreshed for the onward journey.

Very well maintained site, clean and tidy washrooms, never used other areas, but all five star. Family run business who are happy to help with anything you ask. Dog friendly which is a bonus, dog walking field. The coop, spar and fish shop are within walking distance. Can highly recommend staying on the site.

Even when you drive up to the gates, you know this is a high quality campsite. Immaculately mowed grass and shrubbery, the most friendliest and professional of welcomes and check in. Spotlessly clean facilities, brilliant views and great sized pitches.

Beautiful site, extremely clean and well kept. The facilities were excellent and again top ratings for cleanliness. Nathan and the staff were polite, friendly and couldn't do enough to ensure our stay enjoyable & memorable. Thank you. We will definitely stay on this site again in the future.

Lovely park & management is great. We stayed midweek during term time, when it was quiet. It was very busy when we left on Saturday morning. Ideal site for exploring Snowdonia. There's a great pub up the road too. Although you can only take dogs in bar area, that's very small. Food was delicious though.

Nice, quiet site with easy access. Nathan's friendliness made for a very pleasant atmosphere. We would certainly consider returning and wouldn't hesitate to recommend the site to others. We found the location perfect for visiting all our favourite places in the area.

This campsite was smaller than we are used to, but it was just perfect Close to the places we had planned to visit, quiet, very clean and offered showers & washing up facilities, also a little place to buy ice creams. We did notice a pub down the road, not that we had time to try it out. Dog friendly. The site was very immaculate. Definitely would stay here again.

Greeted well on arrival, happy to move pitch to accommodate us, so two pitches could be close. Clean facilities and friendly staff. Would recommend and also likely to return as the area is lovely. Had two enjoyable meals in the town too, with lots of eating choices. Taxi ride in was reasonable too.

Well situated 10 mins from Llanberis. Spotless facilities, lots of got water with no timers in the showers! Nathan was about most of the time and couldn't do enough for you. Used Sherpa to climb Snowdon, which meant we didn't fight for parking on a bank holiday and could use two different routes up and down.

Lovely campsite, so clean and tidy and you can tell the family take pride is the appearance of the site. They were very friendly and helpful. Highly recommended and the pub at the end of the road was great too.

Spent the Easter weekend at the campsite, was a fantastic experience overall. Nathan and the team really looked after us, and made sure our stay was great. The facilities were really clean and in perfect working order, and the location of the campsite was great too- close to supermarkets and a pub if dinning out, plus, only a short drive/bus ride from some of the Mount Snowdon trails. Nathan also gave us some great recommendations of things to do/see in Snowdonia. Would 100% stay again!

After having a nightmare journey, we rang the site as we knew we would be late arriving. Nathan emailed me a map showing us where our pitch was and still came out to check we were ok when we arrived and it was pouring down. The site was perfectly placed for us with a pub serving good food at the end of the road and a short drive into Caernarfon. Nathan recommended Wal for breakfast and it was amazing! The toilet block was immaculate and we wouldn't hesitate in booking to stay again in the future.
