VW-Type Campervan - XXL Grass Pitch with Optional Electric (The Oaks 2)Jul 2022

Nice rustic style site with amazing views. The site was mostly quiet. It felt safe and had new looking wet rooms and facilities. There were easy to find amenities. There was a wonderful view over Fairbourne/Barmouth/Estuary and it was an easy journey by car to local beaches. The grounds of the site were well maintained. The site is set on quite a steep stony hill, so can be tricky to manoeuvre both vehicles and small children and gets dusty. Bathrooms could do with better ventilation and more utilities to help get kids ready (e.g, changing table, shelf for toiletries, more hooks as the floor in the combined shower and toilet got quite wet) No entertainment on site and quite a steep, partially no pavement walk along a narrow road into Fairbourne. A kids park would have been perfect to be able to stay onsite a bit more. There may have been something to do onsite, but check in was (understandably for personal staffing reasons) brief. The cons above didn't affect our stay at all, they were minimal and we had a lovely break.

Small Tent - XL Grass Pitches with Optional Electric (6 person)Jul 2022

Me, my boyfriend and dog spontaneously booked a weekend here! The campsite was in a beautiful spot with the most amazing views over the estuary/sea (especially the sunset). Nice big pitches and a fair amount of amenities. Only downside was although there was a 10:30pm cutoff for music this was not enforced at all and we were kept up both nights until 1/2am. Wouldn’t recommend if you had children with you or if you were a light sleeper. Tainted an otherwise lovely stay!

Large Tent - Large Grass Pitch with Optional Electric (Horseshoe 3)Jul 2022

The owners were really helpful and always accomodating when I had a problem or forgotten to bring a electric plug adapter. Showers were powerful and hot. Facilities always clean, but on occasions there wasn't toilet roll or hand towels. I know the owners would no doubt replace if asked, but it was a bit if a trek to their home, to be bothered walking the step incline back to base. Although, the incline was certainly worth the walk for the stunning views. Had a lovely stay all round would definitely go back again.
