Wellstone Yurts and Camping treats you to a small family run campsite in a peaceful location, 20 minutes from Cardigan. Pitch your own tent by the beautiful River Taf or stay in traditional Mongolian yurts, set in secluded Pembrokeshire pasture. There are 11 acres of magical woodland and pasture with alpacas and wild swimming in the River Taf and Wellstone Lake, perfect for an outdoor adventure. Families and dogs are also more than welcome!

We had a fantastic family stay in a beautiful Yurt, the campsite was peaceful with plenty of space to explore and the Yurt was amazing. Comfortable beds, all the camping equipment you could possibly need and a welcome bottle of fizz too! Our kids 5 & 8 loved playing in the stream, meeting the Alpacas and toasting marshmallows over the fire pit. Thank you for such a wonderful stay, we will definitely be back soon.

Just got home from a two night stay with the family (12 and 13 year old daughters). The campsite was peaceful, all you could hear was the trickle of the stream running through the site and the rustle of the trees moving in the breeze. We stayed in one of the yurts and I have to say I think our tent days are over before they really began!! The weather wasn't great but we came prepared with board games etc and being in the yurt meant we had so much more space inside when we did have some rain yesterday. The showers and toilets were clean and not too far away to walk to in the night. Plus you get to say hello to the alpacas who live up near the shower/toilet block. A really lovely campsite which everything had been thought of, even a supply of ice blocks to keep milk etc cold in the cool box and a bottle of Prosecco waiting for our arrival. We could easily have stayed a few more days.

Very lovely little campsite. Great location- pretty, tranquil and quite an off grid feeling but within reasonable driving distance (20 mins) to Cardigan where there is a pretty beach and some shops, cafes etc. We pitched our tent right next to the river- very scenic! Good facilities- the fridge was very handy and nice warm showers! The alpacas were super cute :) We had a wonderful weekend here.

Wellstone Yurts and Camping is a beautiful spot in nature, with soft grass making it easy to set up tents and which makes for a comfy sleep. It is peaceful and surrounded by nature, with a stream and trees surrounding the medium-sized field. The ablution cabins were cleaned 3 times a day by super friendly staff and hot water was always on tap. Beside the cabins was a small kitchen shed with a fridge, which helped in keeping our milk lasting that bit longer than normal. The water stand and recycling bins were in easy access and having a 4-wheeled trolly to take our kit onto the field from the car park was super useful. The children loved exploring the river and playing with our neighbouring camper's children, with enough room in the field for them to play. As the sie t is contained and fits a few tents, we felt it safe enough for them to wander that bit further from the tent than we would normally on other campsites. We were pleased that owners ensured their dogs were on their leads at all times. Castell Henllys was not too far from the site where we joined Jade Mellor from Wild Pickings in foraging the hedgerows to make our wild forage vinaigrette! Then exploring all things ancient in the afternoon. Such a great experience for the children! The beach wasn't too far either which we visited briefly, but we were eager to get back to the peaceful campsite to enjoy relaxing...and visiting the llamas and other farm animals of course! What a great camping experience this has been! Thank you Wellstone Campsite, we will definitely be back!
Secluded campsite

We stayed 7 nights at the campsite in August 2022. It's a very secluded campsite by a little stream. Cars are not allowed on the field so you use a little wagon to carry your materials. It's very quiet, some days we were the only campers on the site. There is a little prefab building with 4 toilets and 2 showers (hot) with hot water. There are a fridge, a water boiler, a sink for the dishes and a socket. There a string to hang the laundry. Fire pits and wood are available. The first supermarket is about 3 miles away. There's also a coffee shop, a fish and chip shop and a gas station. Newport and the beach are about 25 minutes away. If you like to be quiet this is a good place. I personally would have appreciated a little bit of human presence since we didn't see the owners at all and the only communication we had with them was via email.

Absolutely beautiful site with good facilities. Very impressed with the small communal shed with a fridge, kettle & sink area. Nice toilets & wet room for showers, all very well maintained & clean. Alpacas in the field next door, some lovely walks nearby & all set in beautiful scenery. Personally, I loved the lack of mobile phone signal, the teenagers, not so much. But a short drive to the village saw the return of signal & sanity for the teenagers. Welsh weather wasn't on side for our trip sadly, hopefully next time will be brighter & we can enjoy more of the local scenery & walks. Even poor weather could not detract from the beauty of the location & I'd definitely book again in future. The yurts look absolutely stunning, even though we stayed in our own tent. 10/10
