Cwmdu Campsite
Camping Pod - Log Pods (Dog Friendly) Sep 2024 Wonderful views and very peaceful. Great place to use as a base for outdoor activities.

Shepherd's Hut - Shepherd's Huts (Dog Friendly) Sep 2024 This campsite offers a calm and peaceful atmosphere.
The facilities available are very good. I opted for a hut that included private bathroom for added convenience. Each hut is equipped with a portable heater to maintain a warm environment.
For those who enjoy coffee in the morning, a breakfast stall is available on-site.
Additionally, there is a cozy community pub located just a 10-minute walk away, providing a great option for socializing or enjoying a meal.

Motorhome - Optional Electric Grass Covered Hardstanding Pitch (No Awnings) Sep 2024 The staff are great. The site is very clean and well maintained. The local community run pub, The Farmers Arms, is 200 metres down the road is great - food is very good.

VW-Type Campervan - Non Electric Grass Pitches Sep 2024 Wonderful 3 nights stay in my VW van! 35 mins from Bike Park Wales, a nice pub and wonderful location. The owners and crew have worked tirelessly to keep this place in wonderful condition and it pays off. A really well stocked shop with local beer on tap! What more can one ask! I shall return.
A gorgeous campsite
Large Tent - Electric Grass Pitches Sep 2024 We absolutely loved our stay at Cwmdu Campsite. We were greeted when we arrived by Chris who showed us to our pitch and explained where all of the facilities are.
The pitch was an excellent size, all of the staff were extremely friendly and helpful, the showers/toilets were absolutely spotless. The showers have great pressure and are at just the right temperature.
There is a shop on site that sells the essentials, along with some gorgeous locally sourced food and drink. There is also a small food trailer that do the best bacon sandwiches and a caramel latte to die for!
There are other facilities such as laundry and dish washing, they even have a dog shower, which we had to use for our pooch after a visit to the beach.
Overall, we would say it is one of the best sites we have ever stayed on and we will definitely be back.

Small Tent - Non Electric Grass Pitches Jun 2024 Brilliant campsite, great facilities and lovely location. It had everything we needed and we had a very comfortable stay. The pizza van on Friday night was a great addition! We would 100% recommend and will definitely be back.

VW-Type Campervan - Optional Electric Gravel Pitches (Awnings) Jun 2024 We really enjoyed our short stay at Cwmdu. The plot was spacious & with great views. There was a coffee pod open from 9 and the shop was amazing. Pub down the road. Can't recommend enough.

Facilities spotless, everything was just amazing, from arriving to leaving.

Wonderful campsite a home from home
Small Tent - Electric Grass Pitches Jun 2024 What an absolutely wonderful campsite. Stayed for a long weekend of camping and hiking. The warm welcome we received was lovely and the facilities were great. Really clean showers and toilets as well as food/drinks available. Will definitely be staying again.
Our visit Sprinter-Type Campervan - Optional Electric Grass Touring Pitches (Awnings) Jun 2024 The site has many good things going for it, but a very questionable pitch that did effect our overall judgement.
We stayed on a very busy sunny weekend. The welcome on arrival was lovely and we were shown to our pitch. This was very disappointing. The pitch was on a corner and completely shaded by trees. The weather was sunny, but our pitch didn't see any of it, no matter the time of day. I personally would not class the spot as a pitch.
Wi-Fi was also very sporadic which could have been because of the busyness of the site. ice touches are the Friday pizzas, which were very good, and the draft beer, also good. There are lots of walks from site. The shop, which was well stocked, was also very expensive, £2.90 for a 220ml of mayonnaise. So remember to take all you need with you.
In all, this site is not for us.
Convenient and just what we needed
VW-Type Campervan - Optional Electric Gravel Pitches (No Awnings) Jun 2024 This was a lovely site. VERY helpful man showed us to our pitch on arrival, a quick, brief but concise, run through of everything. Lovely trees, beautiful views.
Big shower block, good little shop, lots of water points and easy bins.
Would be nice if there was a dog area for a night time run around (there is a children's football pitch, which I guess is handy for parents, but I'd prefer it if it had been a dog walking area!) Lovely idea of a coffee and breakfast truck but didn't get to try it as was too busy and not so speedy.

Small Tent - Non Electric Grass Pitches Jun 2024 What an excellent little site, wasn't expecting such a good site as this when I booked as it was only £10 per night for a two man tent and motorcycle.
The site was very clean and well laid out, with a new men's shower block. A trailer serving breakfast baps and coffee in the morning was very popular.
Most importantly the staff were very friendly, could not do enough to help and recommended local services.
Have no hesitation in saying this is the best site I've stayed at in a long time, a great vibe to it.

VW-Type Campervan - Optional Electric Gravel Pitches (No Awnings) May 2024 Great campsite - we had an electric pitch for our VW Transporter and really enjoyed our stay. The site was nicely spaced out and facilities were good - clean toilets and showers, lots of water points. The coffee truck and pizza pop ups were a great addition and the shop was nicely stocked. The location was ideal for heading to Hay Festival, and we spent one day on a door-to-door hike into the Black Mountains and along the Beacons Way.
