Described as a little gem of a site, Rhos y Gallt Campsite is situated in the idyllic Welshpool countryside. With space for ten tents and five hardstanding pitches across a two acre site you can be sure to have a relaxing stay. The river running through the bordering field is great for fishing and wild swimming. Or, head down one of the many footpaths and cycle routes nearby to see Mid Wales' beauty. The whole family is welcome - dogs included.

About Rhos y Gallt Campsite
A small and tranquil site set within two acres of farmland with views over the Montgomeryshire hills. Explore the local area from the many footpaths accessible right from the site where you can take miles of walks and bike rides. When it comes to camping, you can pitch your tent in the main field where electric will be provided. Or, head further afield and peg down by the river for a more wild camping experience without electric and neighboring the sheep. There are also five hardstanding pitches in the main camping field. Each with electric and perfect for all campervans, caravans and motorhomes. The river bank is perfect for fishing (please bring your own rod), wild swimming or just relaxing by the water's edge and having a paddle. A maximum of two dogs are allowed per pitch but please keep them on leads at all times. Fire pits and BBQs are welcome with the farmers son often coming around the site to offer fire pit hire or wood for sale. Do note this site is certificated by the Camping and Caravan Club so you will need to have membership to book.

Onsite is a facilities block with toilets, hot showers, wash basins, wheelchair accessible facilities and a baby changing area as well as a small communal kitchen.
The nearest pub Cann Office Hotel is just a 5 minute drive away and is next to Cwpan Pinc a village shop and tea room serving a tasty homemade menu.

Things to do on site and in the Welshpool area
Located almost in the centre of Mid Wales, here is the perfect base to see and do so much. There are great walks nearby, including a beautiful walk up Cader Idris and an 11 mile walk around Lake Vyrnwy which is a 24,000 acre nature reserve.
If you'd rather explore on two wheels there are some lovely cycle routes too. The country roads from the site are quiet enough to cycle on, but if you'd prefer traffic free paths then the Rainbow Trails over in Dyfnant forest has plenty of tracks.
The Welshpool and Llanfair light railway is an idyllic way to see all Mid Wales has to offer. A 16 mile return journey along the River Banwy and through the countryside.
