FAQ

One of the UK's most beautiful stretches of coastline, Kynance Cove is on the west side of the Lizard at Mount's Bay, approximately two miles north of Lizard Point.

Dogs are allowed on the beach out of season, from October to Easter. During the main season a dog ban is enforced between 7am and 7pm. Plenty of dog friendly campsites are available locally throughout the season.

There are toilets at the National Trust car park between Easter and October, or otherwise at the much loved Kynance Cove Cafe.

The National Trust car park at Kynance Cove is open all year round and manned during peak season. National Trust members park for free. The car park gets very busy and is often full before 11am, so we'd recommend arriving early, particularly as there are no other parking options within a mile of the main car park. The route from the car park down to the beach is quite steep and takes around 10 minutes, though there is a flatter pushchair friendly route which takes around 20 minutes.

There are a reasonable number of holiday parks within striking distance of Kynance Cove, including several with great swimming pools. There is also a good selection of caravan parks if have your own touring caravan or motorhome.
