Camping Ty Du is a family friendly rural retreat located in the countryside, just a couple of miles from the coast. There are just five grass pitches for your own tents and all pitches have the added benefit of private fire pits and picnic benches. Sit back and relax at this small and peaceful site.

About the site

Nestled on the edge of the coastal town of Llanelli, this peaceful campsite is perfect for couples or families looking to explore the West Wales countryside and coast. There are fifteen non electric grass pitches suitable for tents, all of which are very spacious and spread apart with idyllic countryside views. Fire pits and picnic benches can be provided free of charge for a spot of "al fresco "dining. These are subject to availability. This is a wonderful choice for anyone looking to switch off from daily life and completely relax. Well behaved dogs are welcome.

The site is open for the late May bank holiday weekend, then for weekends from 12th July until 1st September.

Onsite facilities include male and female flushing toilets, two hot showers, a washing up station, a recycling area and individual lockers with charging points.

Felinfoel village is just a 20 minute walk away or a five minute drive and here you'll find several shops, pubs and eateries.

A note from the site themselves...

We love to share our countryside environment, trees, plants, stream, animals, birds, and stars - to share what we take for granted. Listen to the woodpecker, the sheep, the horses. Look up to see the red kite soaring above. The fox in the distance and the stream meandering down towards the pond.

We also wanted to create a space to let children be children! Climb a tree, splash in the stream, wander in the overgrowth - all good fun to be had here.

Our site is a family set up, from cleaning, mowing the grass to making the beds. We can't wait for you to visit!

Things to do on site and in the Llanelli area

There are several beaches nearby which make for a lovely day out for all. Burry Port beach is just 20 minutes away and is a peaceful sandy beach. Cefn Sidan beach is 25 minutes away and boasts beautiful dunes and golden sands for all to relax and play on.

Visit the Swiss Valley Reservoir just a five minute drive away and the perfect spot for some water sports, nature walk and peaceful waterside picnics.

The Gower is a 25 minute drive, the M4 takes about 10 minutes and the magnificent West Wales coastline including Tenby, Saundersfoot can be accessed in an hour. Folly Farm, Oakwood are very popular venues for children.
