About the site

Close to North Cornwall's coastline in a prettily rural area, you'll find this range of quirky and beautiful accommodation. The kudhva are unique architectural cabins, designed for the quarry environment they inhabit. Each two person hideout is raised high above the ground, standing on wooden legs with a cosy bed inside and captivating views down the coast. The four kudhva cabins are totally off-grid, focused on leaving you feeling calm and cared for. Alternatively, try one of the pre-pitched Tentsile tree tents, also for two people. There are six dotted around the site, hanging gently between rocks or nestled in sweet glades. They offer all the necessary shelter and comfort, along with that priceless feeling that you're sleeping in the wild. Finally, there is the unique option of a combined bar and cabin that is for your group's sole use, sleeping ten. It's the meeting of a humble pub and incredible natural spaces. It's totally off grid, but you'll have access to all of the site's facilities. Carlsberg invited six people to come and build a better take on a pub - the Danish way - and this space is the result.

The site combines a strong eco ethos with luxury facilities shared between all glampers. There are flushing toilets and solar powered shower cubicles at the reception block, and one composting toilet onsite. A large communal kitchen has everything you need to make a decent meal, and there's a hot tub, and bar too. Fire pits are provided and the car park is about a 5 minute walk from the reception building.

4 x Kudhva

There are four stunning spaces which stand above the ground on wooden legs, with a large terrace area outside, a built-in sofa and floor-to-ceiling windows. There's a mezzanine bed, built in storage, fresh linen and towels ready for your arrival

6 x Tree Tents

These are rigged across the site in various locations. You sleep swinging between trees, in the waterfall or near the grassland. These Tentsile tree tents will be pitched ahead of your arrival, you just need to bring your sleeping essentials and towels.

Carlsberg Off-grid Bar & Cabin

Max 10 people

A unique take on a pub combined with a cabin in the woods, this bespoke space is open from April until October. Inside is all you need for a private party with six beds, two bunks and two pull-out beds with bedding provided.

Things to do on site and in the Tintagel area

With the beautiful Cornish Coast on hand, there are sea sports all around. You'd be really missing out if you didn't try your hand at surfing and snorkelling, plus a host of other treats in the bright blue sea.

If you're feeling artistic, you can borrow some paints from reception, then go and find the perfect spot to do some painting with the incredible landscapes and panoramic sea views that surround you!

On the first Sunday of the month, the site puts together an afternoon of delicious locally sourced food, cocktails made with the botanicals grown wild and records played by some the best DJs from the local scene.

There is also a private reservoir nestled in the depths of the Kudhva site, an untouched haven of tranquility, hidden from view. Staff on site may be able to offer guided tours and perhaps even show you the waterfall. A local personal trainer can also be booked for a reasonable fee to help you explore the beautiful surroundings while getting in shape and feeling great. The site also hosts yoga workshops and retreats which can do wonders for your body and soul.

After that, you'll remember that you're just one mile inland from Trebarwith Strand and almost directly on the South West Coast Path. Stunning coastal walks are on the menu and the beach is lovely and close. This untouched area is also totally ideal for stargazing, where all the wonders of the cosmos will be visible to you.
