About the site

Nestled on the Cornish Coastline, just a 15 minute walk from the coastal path and West Wheal Owles, this site is well located for clifftop walks and exploring the South West Coast Path. The scenic spots of Land's End and Penzance are also within a 15 minute drive, with Portheras Cove and its sandy beach ten minutes away! The site offers a relaxed, traditional camping experience across five paddocks, with Cornish hedges and trees for added shelter. Tents, trailer tents, roof tents, caravans, campervans and motorhomes are all welcome, with pitches either allowing four or six guests. The backpacker pitches are the smallest onsite, great for those travelling on foot along the coast. These allow up to two guests, with only motorcycles or bikes allowed (no cars). If you want to pitch up on grass, you can choose from a range of pitches. The regular pitches allow units up to 5m x 3m, whilst the medium permit up to 6m x 4m and the large up to 5m x 7m. All are available as either non electric or electric with a metered 16 amp hook up. For the largest units, there are XL metered electric grass pitches. These are suitable for tents and trailer tents up to 7.5m x 6m, caravans up to 8m, campervans up to 5m and motorhomes up to 7.5m. If travelling with a caravan, campervan or motorhome, there are electric hardstanding pitches. Or, opt for a fully serviced hardstanding pitch with a 16 amp metered electric hook up, water point and grey waste drain. You can also leave the tent pegs behind and stay in one of the bell tents. Sleeping up to four, the tents include a double bed and two camp beds for kids. These include electric, floor matting, fairy lights and feature an outdoor picnic bench. Just be sure to bring along your own bedding and cooking equipment! All of the camping and touring pitches are dog friendly, allowing up to three dogs to join you for your stay. The bell tents are pet free. In the evening, you can cook up a BBQ, just please ensure it is raised from the ground. Open fires are not permitted.

Pitches are open from March to October and hardstanding pitches are also open from 18th to 31st December. Bell tents are open May to September. Pitches from £19.50-£35/night for 2 people (depending on dates, 2-night minimum). Glamping from £75/night for 2 people (depending on dates, 2-night minimum).

VW-Type Campervan - Medium Non Electric Grass PitchesSep 2026

We stayed at Trevaylor Caravan & Camping Site during our Cornwall road trip with our little dog and the site itself is lovely. It's clean, tidy, spacious and has everything you need, including a separate dog exercise area, which was a definite plus. It's a large site divided into separate areas, and I can imagine it gets very busy during the summer months. Thankfully, when we stayed it was extremely quiet, which suited us perfectly. There was also a rather amusing moment on our departure morning. My husband asked the owner what time we needed to leave. He was told the time we had to vacate the pitch, which was absolutely fine. My husband then said something along the lines of, "That's okay, though, if we're not completely packed up right on time?" The answer was, "Yes, that's fine, but I need the pitch by 12 because it's booked." My husband came back and told me this and we both just burst out laughing. Not because there was anything wrong with needing the pitch ready for the next guests, of course there wasn't, but because the site was practically deserted, with loads of empty pitches everywhere, so apparently our particular pitch was the one piece of prime Cornish real estate that absolutely could not wait! 😂 Overall, we had a pleasant stay and there's nothing bad to say about the cleanliness or facilities. It's a nice, peaceful site and clearly well looked after.

Site's response

Thank you so much for the lovely review! We really appreciate your kind words. Just to share a little background on the 12 o'clock pitch request—many of our returning guests have favourite spots, and we always try our absolute best to accommodate these special requests whenever possible, which was the case that day. We would love to do the same for you on your next visit, so please let us know if you have a favourite pitch you'd like to book and we will do our absolute best to accommodate that where we can. Thank you again for your feedback, and we hope to welcome you back to stay soon.

Great site

Motorhome - Fully Serviced Hardstanding PitchesSep 2026

We were greeted by the owner on arrival. He gave us all the information that we needed during our stay and was always around if we had any questions. The site offered a toilet/Shower block which was clean and well maintained. There is a bus stop outside which makes it very easy to go into Penzance.

A note from the site themselves...

Trevaylor is a very relaxed, tranquil campsite, and we have lovely guests who reflect this chilled-out, peaceful site. We have been running Trevaylor since 2019 and just love the location.

We love walking and never get bored with the circular walks that you can do from the door. There are so many - not just along the coast on the SW Coast Path, but also inland on the moors that surround us.

We have been lucky enough to spot dolphins, porpoises and even a basking shark along our coastal walks. We've also spotted a plethora of birds, both common to this area, such as choughs, and the rarer varieties that visit, perhaps unintentionally, via the winter storms.

We can't wait to welcome you here soon.
