About the site
This family run campsite is tucked into a quiet Cumbrian village and set beside the River Irt, with a selection of riverside pitches. Handy connections to a range of attractions too, with coastal Seascale and its beaches only a 15 minute drive away, and from there lots of good train connections to other towns. The Wasdale Valley (5 minutes) is a gem for outdoor adventures, and the challenge of Scafell Pike itself is only 20 minutes away by car. Pitches range from grassed spots with optional electric for tents or motorhomes, as well as a set of hardstanding pitches for tourers, with electric or fully serviced with all the connections you need. Dogs are welcome onsite. BBQs are allowed as long as they are raised off the ground. Open fires are not permitted.
