You can also visit the Ruskin Museum and learn about the fascinating history of Coniston. From here why not head to beautiful Brantwood which overlooks Coniston Water. Explore this stunning house which was once home to John Ruskin and discover the impressive gardens.

A short drive away is the village of Hawkshead where you can visit the Fitzwilliam Gallery and Beatrix Potter Gallery. To the north you can take in the amazing views or travel down to Hill Top and see Beatrix Potter's 17th century farmhouse.
