St Leonards Farm Caravan and Camping Park is within 30 minutes of some of Bournemouth's best beaches, and just a few miles from Ringwood and the New Forest. There are grass and hardstanding pitches with and without electric for tents and tourers, as well as fully furnished bell tents and shepherd's huts. A quiet, family run site with modern facilities and a children's play park, football pitch and indoor soft play area.

Cut our stay short

I have stayed at many campsites and this one let me down. There were around 15 speed bumps leading down to our pitch and these were very fierce. The park closes its gates at 10.30pm so you are restricted from being out later than that. There are no shops on site. If you want to get milk, etc. you have to walk out of the campsite and go through a subway under a dual carriage way to get to a petrol station shop. The shower/toilet block is outdated, although is kept clean. The shower cubicles are very small and there is nowhere to store your towels or clothes so you have to leave them outside the cubicle. There are openings either side of all the pitches which people keep walking through and on several occasions people were tripping on our guy ropes. We found the site to be noisy at night, there were several other campers staying up to at least 3am and not giving respect to others. A lot of other campers told them to keep the noise down but were ignored. I would not be staying at this particular site again, I have stayed at others for the same sort of price and had much more of an enjoyable stay than this one. And with all this, we cut our stay short and left one night early.
Site's response
Thank you for your comments. Regarding the speed humps, these are to BS standard and are fit for purpose. They are a necessity for safety reasons to keep speed down on site. As we are a family park with kids on site, this is very important. If you drive over them slowly in first gear you will not have any issues. Again the gates are shut for security reasons and we advise the times on site. Most guests are happy with this. We do not advertise any shops on site and there is a general store across the road and a Sainsbury's 5 mins drive. We are sorry you were disturbed and if you had advised the wardens, they would have looked into it and asked the persons causing the noise to be quiet. We must say that such issues are a rarity on our site which is a quiet family park.

Lovely park, beautiful grounds and the facilities on site were plenty and clean really hot showers with great pressure! We were put in the Meadow, it seemed like a lovely spot when we turned up. There is a very big play park in the middle of the meadow which is great for family's. Really friendly staff who stopped and chatted. We came to visit Bournemouth for the weekend, it's just a little more then a 20 minute drive to Bournemouth from the site. Local takeaways delivered to the site which is a great convenience, only a short walk to a local shop for any supplies!
