VW-Type Campervan - Electric Grass PitchesAug 2025

The pitches and gardens are beautifully maintained, very clean and tidy. The very small showers and toilets could do with an upgrade from the wooden ones they currently have. Staff seemed reluctant to pass the time of day, which was a shame, being pleasant costs nothing. Ok as a base for a couple of nights.

Could be wonderful

VW-Type Campervan - Electric Grass PitchesAug 2025

This could be a wonderful site, so very nearly there. The landscaping is lovely, the grass electric pitches are big and sheltered, but the facilities are awful. The toilets resemble the "Dunnies" in the outback. A row of not very well maintained sheds containing the toilet and showers. The wash up is outside and the waste pipe on the sink wasn't even connected to the unit, so the waste water gushed from the sink out onto the grass behind! There were electrical fuse boards on the end of the facility sheds that were missing the waterproofing covers (electrician husband). The cleaning of the toilets and showers was very basic to say the least! It could be great, the location of the site is good. A walk into Bude from the site down alongside the canal, it is lovely, and the park and ride bus service is just up the road. It's just such a shame that the site facilities and maintenance is letting it down so badly.
