Great camping experience
Large Tent - Electric Grass Pitches May 2026 Great stay for me and my sister with our children, super safe and secure for my autistic son. facilities were really good, Toilet and shower block cleaned regularly, Lovely playground. Food at the cafe and pub was yummy. staff were friendly and helpful. Kids loved the space especially seeing the horses. will definitely be back. Thank you for a great stay.

Great location for access to lots of different trails/hikes. Short walk to pubs which is ideal for us.
Plenty of toilets/showers.
Missing a star as our pitch preference would have been to have a little more space between our neighbours whilst there was half a field still empty, but we know to make that clear in a request for next time if possible!

Great little campsite
Medium Tent - Electric Grass Pitches May 2026 Booked this campsite for our staycation honeymoon and it did not disappoint. Arrival instructions in email were clear and easy to find our pitch. Beautiful surroundings and beautiful wildlife.
Facilities were perfect! Lovely hot private showers and clean throughout. Shop on site is small but has the basic essentials and Morrisons isn't too far away. Best ice cream on site too!
We also appreciated staff coming to check on us after there was an incident requiring police involvement the night before. We will definitely be booking again!
Lovely campsite with plenty of nature walks and lovely 'water sport' lake onsite!
Medium Tent - Electric Grass Pitches May 2026 Very impressed as soon as we arrived with nice big pitches and plenty of toilet/shower blocks. Very well stocked shop onsite along with a cafe and most importantly a bar which I think do music etc on certain days.
The staff were very friendly and helpful.
Lot of horses roaming about which is nice to see, and a very short walk down to the lake with lots of nice walks from the site.
The meals were very good value and generous portions.
May well go back later in the year!

VW-Type Campervan - Electric Grass Pitches May 2026 Lovely, quiet site, well looked after. Toilets/shower continuously being cleaned by a very nice friendly & chatty lady. And chocolate hob-nobs in the shop when needed after a 33 mile hilly bike ride! A blessing!
Only negative: the hot water for shower and washing up facilities was not as hot as we would have liked. Not a complaint - just an observation.
Three decent local pubs, Red Lion, Castle, Black Cock Inn.
We will return for sure!
A spring stay
Large Tent - Electric Grass Pitches Apr 2026 Beautiful campsite, really peaceful and amazing surroundings. Loved every second.
Only thing to note during the stay is quite a few of the toilets were out of handsoap although they were kept nice and clean daily! Only of the showers also has a loose door handle.
A really calming space with so much nature around!

Motorhome - Electric Hardstanding Touring Pitches Apr 2026 A lovely site in a fantastic location, a perfect base for exploring the surrounding area. We did some lovely walks direct from the site. Useful onsite shop, cafe and bar.
The individual bathrooms were great, although the locks were very stiff so I was only able to use two of them.

The café was lovely and served delicious food.

The location on the common provides a beautiful walking area near the lake. There are so many animals to see and hear, you really are in a peaceful place at lakeside.
Excellent facilities including large hot showers, toilets, washing up and bin/recycling area, there's also drinking water available & waste disposal area too.
Situated in the most lovely quiet location away from busy roads it's just perfect. There's a shop which has loads of camping gear, should you forget anything you need (like a towel for example 🙊), and a pub as well providing food/drinks and entertainment.
You can also hire things on the lake like boats etc, but we didn't do this. Such good value for money we will definitely be back.
Excellent well organised, but quiet site
Single Axle Caravan - Electric Hardstanding Touring Pitches Sep 2025 Lakeside is an excellent, well organised site. Clean toilets, showers and wash up facilities.
I asked for a quiet, level pitch and that is precisely what I got! The site is situated a few yards from the lake; and only a few miles from Brecon.
Would highly recommend this site... I shall certainly be back.

Small Tent - Electric Grass Pitches Sep 2025 Excellent campsite, extremely clean facilities with hot showers. Cafe and shop on site. Friendly pub owners and pub is dog friendly. Lovely walks across countryside.
Ideal campsite if wanting days out went on Brecon Beacons steam railway - only 30 mins away. Porthcawl is 1hr 30 but beautiful beach, dog friendly all year round, lots of beach to walk then went on to Swansea, beautiful beach with a cafe, you can watch the sea from their balcony.
If you are after peace and quiet the campsite was very quiet with early morning walks and lots of nature from the horses, swans to lots of birds. Very tranquil and friendly place highly recommend.
A little piece of heaven
Motorhome - Electric Hardstanding Touring Pitches Sep 2025 Wonderful peaceful site. Amazing access to all facilities and pub a 2 minute walk. The lake also adds so much to this, already perfect, campsite.
