Lovely site, clean amenities. Would definitely return and recommend.

Relaxing weekend

Shower block a little small, very tiny individual rooms and poor water flow when all in use. No motorhome service point, only place to empty grey water was a grid two feet off the ground.

Our shower block is relatively new and designed to offer modern, self-contained cubicles with a toilet, shower, and sink all in one space. Many guests enjoy the added privacy this setup provides, though we understand the layout might not suit everyone’s preferences. While water flow is generally consistent across the site, there may be occasional dips during peak usage times, and we’re always monitoring this to ensure the best experience possible. In Ernie’s camping field where you stayed, there is a designated grey water disposal point that can be used for manual emptying. We acknowledge it may not be the most convenient setup for all motorhomes, and we’re considering improvements for the future. Thanks again for your comments—they help us make the site even better. Great Location

A great location for exploring local villages and the beacons. We visited Lakeside, an excellent site complete with a lake with hire boats and lovely walks within easy reach. The local village of Llangorse is within walking distance, with lovely pubs. The site itself has a cafe, shop, and a pub serving food and drink with a pub garden. The hard pitches are in the Orchard, and the toilet and shower facilities are cleaned twice a day and are spotless. The facilities are heated (when required), and all the usual other camping facilities are within the site and easily accessible. A great campsite that we will definitely return to.

Lovely place

Beautiful surroundings, toilets were always clean. Was so useful having the shop and cooked food options with the cafe and bar. Will definitely return.

Perfect bank holiday weekend

Absolutely beautiful site. Peaceful, well organised and great instructions. Facilities were immaculate and well looked after. Really loved it and will be coming back.

Lovely lakeside campsite

We stayed for a few days in late April and had a lovely time. The facilities were spotless and staff were very friendly. Something to bear in mind is the lakeside location, so there are bugs and midges but we had no issue with this. Would recommend bug repellent and a citronella candle for the mornings/evenings.

Beautiful area

Great campsite. Horses grazing around, swans swimming on a canal, lots of chirping birds. Enjoyed the stay very much.

Lovely site

Well cared for site, pitches are a good size. Toilets and showers are spotless. Right next to the lake for boats etc.

Great short stay at Llangorse Lake Campsite

Can't fault this place. Showers and toilets squeaky clean. Very quiet site. The only sounds were those coming from the birds. It was great to wake up every morning to the dawn chorus. If you're in to wildlife and peace and quiet, then this place is perfect. Make sure to bring everything you need with you as the camp shop is a little pricey. As a plus, there were two electric charging points. Very useful if like us you are traveling in an electric vehicle.

Our stay

Just spent 3 nights/days at Lakeside Caravan Park. Location is fabulous, close to lake for kayaking, common for dog walking, easy walk to nice dog friendly pub. Brecon and the Brecon Beacons all a short drive. Showers/toilets were excellent, mini bathrooms, what a wonderful idea. Very clean and warm room and hot water. Washing up facilities, water, electric hook up all great. Thank you for a lovely few days, will definitely be returning

Nice place for solo camping. Cafe is nice and good stuff. Toilet and showers are clean. Would like to go back.

Peaceful, amazing location

Had a great time at Lakeside Caravan park, The park itself is very clean and the facilities are spotless. Positives were that the campsite is very peaceful, clean and well presented. The horses and wildlife are a joy to watch. Negatives were that the bar only seems to open at the weekends. Cafe. The kitchen was also closed until the weekend. The only thing available was cakes and pies. To be honest, you would need a second mortgage to buy anything in there, £5 for a Pie! Shop. I appreciate that stock runs down, but there wasn't anything left. If you are not self sufficient, I believe you would struggle. We were told there is a shop 5 mins away in the village, but that concept of time and distance is very different to mine! Lake. Unless you are involved in any water activities, access to views of the lake are extremely limited as some parts are private and the walks around the lake that are accessible are nowhere near the water's edge.

Brilliant campsite

Brilliant campsite, beautiful views, friendly staff, really clean site including spotless showers and toilets. Close to Brecon and hikes. Will definitely be coming back! My girlfriend who has never camped before thoroughly enjoyed the site.

Lovely site, great facilities and team and location was great for us. Nice and quiet, with great shop and well-sized pitches.

Great campsite experience

Very scenic campsite location with loads of trees and next to a lake. Clean and working facilities, plus a good equipped camp shop. Was a delight and will happily come back!

Awesome

Stayed here for 2 nights on my own, only me and 1 other tent there. Lovely and quiet, lovely big field, flat pitches 👌 Toilet, shower and sink in one, so no tiny place to get changed. Definitely be coming back again.

Holiday

Absolutely wonderful holiday. The facilities were spotless and the staff were so friendly. Lovely walks around the area. We were so relaxed. We would definitely stay there again.

Definitely one to visit

Fantastic site, superb facilities, individual showers felt like an en-suite and kept very clean. On-site pub served excellent food, very good value for money, on-site shop well stocked and very reasonably priced. On-site cafe offering amazing selection of pies, cakes and coffee. To top it off, fabulous views with lake in less then 5 minute walking distance. Great for anyone climbing Pen y Fan a 20 minute drive away. Overall, exceeded expectations and probably one of, if not the nicest campsites we've ever visited, will definitely be back.

Amazing

Omg, where can I start? The views, the animals, the lake - the list is endless. What an amazing place, will definitely be back next year. Even the friendly onsite pub staff, I can't fault this place. The tent site was so clean and well kept after. A* - best place we've ever camped.
