It was a lovely site
VW-Type Campervan - Deluxe Hardstanding Pitch (Fairway View) Feb 2025 The place is clean all the staff where really helpful. The only thing was we got there 10 mins early, and they tried to charge an early fee to go in, so we had to park up for ten mins. Apart from that, the pitch, the site and the bar were fantastic. If you have children it has everything to keep them entertained.
The food in the bar was nice and staff very friendly. The shower block was spotless. I know it's a bit expensive but you get what you pay for.

Looking back on the CCTV, you actually arrived 45 mins early (arrivals are after 2pm as stated on emails & website) and there is a minimal £5 charge if you still wished to book in. Instead, you came back later.

Very pleased with our stay
Motorhome - XL Deluxe Hardstanding Pitches (Fairway View) Feb 2025 Absolutely loved our stay. Beautiful surrounding and lot's to see and do.
We stayed in winter, so it was very quiet. I imagine it would be very busy in the summer. My only negative was the indoor pool was a lot cooler than expected!

Friendly and lovely staff

Quiet, peaceful and a wonderful stay
Twin Axle Caravan - Large Premium Hardstanding Pitches (Main Field) Oct 2024 Our first holiday using a touring caravan, so I didn't know what to expect but everything at Plassey made our stay a wonderful experience.
Ample and spotlessly clean facilities, an impressive and well maintained site, plus very friendly and helpful staff. The pitches were very spacious with ample room for a large twin axle caravan, a full size awning and large 4x4 tow vehicle.
The retail village is a nice addition to the site, the coffee shop had a warm welcome, plus a lovely selection of hot and cold food & drinks. The onsite shop was well stocked and had any essential you could possibly need. We will definitely be returning and I would definitely be recommending the site to others.

Very good site
Large A-class or Tag Axle Motorhome - XL Deluxe Hardstanding Pitches (Fairway View) Oct 2024 Clean, quiet and would definitely go back. Both me and my sister were booked in for 4 nights, but had to go a day early because our mom was given hours to live and wanted to be with her.

Wonderful 2 day break
Motorhome - Large Hardstanding Pitches (Spring Meadow) Sep 2024 Massive pitch offered for a 2 day break. Escorted to our pitch by one of the rangers in a golf style buggy.
Beautiful location of site surrounded by open fields, cows and sheep. Beautiful 9 hole golf course and the club house for all resident backs onto it. Clubhouse provides great drinks and meals throughout the day at reasonable prices.
Great entertainment every 2nd Saturday night with bingo, karaoke, and disco. Great for the adults and the kids. Brilliant play area for kids and a nice internal swimming pool for everyone. Dog friendly also wherever you go.
Will be back again soon with our granddaughter.

Our Barefoot Experience
Single Axle Caravan - Large Hardstanding Pitches (Spring Meadow) Sep 2024 This was a third campsite visit in our new Barefoot Caravan. Plassey Holiday Park has everything you need to have a fabulous enjoyable stay.
We stayed 4 nights, enjoyed the piece and quite, and also chatting to our camping neighbours. The staff were great and very helpful, we will go back!

Large Tent - Large Hardstanding Pitches (Spring Meadow) Jul 2024 A fantastic place, very impressed.
Only 1 criticism, the camping area where we were located, was quite a walk to toilets and disabled toilet and washing up facilities.
Other than that, we re really impressed by the site.

I agree that the toilets and showers are about 300m from the standard pitch area and if you needed to be closer then I highly recommend the premium pitches that are also suitable for camping, with the added bonus of full services too.

Well kept friendly site
Motorhome - XL Deluxe Hardstanding Pitches (Fairway View) Jul 2024 Lovely holiday park, peace and quiet with facilities, coffee shop, clubhouse bar and restaurant.
We were there Sunday and Monday and shop was shut unfortunately, so you're stuck If you need anything like bread or milk. Staff were super friendly and courteous at all times and the site was kept very clean and well maintained.
Only issue we had being in a motorhome, was it's quite remote with nothing in walking distance, busy roads outside the site with no pavements and not really any public transport either, so unless you have a car your limited to staying onsite or catching taxi's, a little bus service would be ideal.
The site is worth a visit, we will return again for a short stay.

Great stay
VW-Type Campervan - XL Deluxe Hardstanding Pitches (Fairway View) Jul 2024 Brilliant campsite with plenty of amenities. Kids really enjoyed it. We travelled to Wrexham by taxi and also travelled to Chester by train.

Beautiful park!
Large Tent - Large Hardstanding Pitches (Spring Meadow) Jun 2024 Beautiful park, great location near Wrexham and Chester. The park was clean and tidy and has a shop, coffee shop and restaurant on site, which was great for any bits we forgot.
My only gripe was the showers and toilets are in separate buildings. A family bathroom would have been ideal with having a toddler, but we made it work.
There's a huge field for dogs to play in, which my little girl loved watching them run around, the play park is fantastic!

Medium Tent - Large Hardstanding Pitches (Spring Meadow) Jun 2024 I had a fantastic stay. All staff were very pleasant and friendly.
The food in the restaurant was lovely and reasonably priced. The children's play area was fantastic and my 6 year old loved it. The heated swimming pool was an added bonus to our stay and we had so much fun together. I would say the games room needs massively updating and the machines were out of order.
I would have preferred to have had the option to pitch my tent on grass instead of the hardstanding ground. Camping in a tent does not feel right on gravel flooring and I really missed the grass under my feet disconnecting me from nature whilst sitting outside my tent. I personally felt like I was sleeping in a big car park.
Overall it was a lovely stay and I really enjoyed walking the circular walk around the fields in the sunshine.

Thank you so much for your review and great to read you have had a fantastic stay. The nature trail walks are really popular with our guests, along with the swimming pool and Welsh Castle themed playpark.
All our pitches are on fine gravel as we found that due to the (sometime usual!) rain we experience during our summers, that the old grass pitches quickly turned into a boggy mess, so now our pitches are 100% clean and used all year long.
We hope to upgrade the games room for 2025 and thank you for this feedback as we are always keen to improve year on year.

Great campsite
VW-Type Campervan - Deluxe Hardstanding Pitch (Fairway View) Jun 2024 Great campsite. Wonderful family friendly facilities. Immaculately clean and beautiful countryside.
We had such a wonderful one night stay here in the campervan. The reception staff were friendly and helpful and nothing was too much trouble. The children (4 & 6) loved the pool and the incredible play park.
The toilets and showers were impeccable. Well worth the money and would highly recommend. Loads of space and a really relaxed vibe.

Great campsite
VW-Type Campervan - Large Hardstanding Pitches (Spring Meadow) Apr 2024 Lovely park, staff superb, very friendly, very clean and tidy. Loved the dog friendly aspects and the lovely swimming pool, playground and nature walks. Bingo night was fun.
Only negatives were the selection of retail units, the lack of bins closer to the washing up area and the slightly tired air hockey table and the toilets near the shop.

Apr 2023 Perfect campsite for beginners like us! Had the deluxe fully serviced pitch and it was brilliant. Close to showers etc. The swimming pool was awesome. Staff were super friendly :)
