Medium Tent - Non Electric Grass PitchesJul 2022

A lovely quiet family campsite. Plots well spaced-out and clearly marked. Toilets and showers are modern and very clean. Lots of room for a football away from the tents. Super friendly welcome and excellent shop. Lots to do locally - a day spent at BeWilderWood was good fun.

Site's response

Its a great day out :-) Hope we can welcome you back in the future and have a great rest of season. From all the Pitch & Canvas Team

Medium Tent - Non Electric Grass PitchesMay 2022

We stayed for 2 nights and the site was clean and tidy. Pretty flat fields for camping and not riddled with rocks, making pegging down the tent easy. The site is sectioned up and the 1st section has 3 enclosed sides which is helpful with young children, plus hedges and trees help to buffer the wind a little. The site manager (female) we dealt with was just lovely, so friendly and welcoming, even took my 6yr old in to see a little chick that had not long hatched!

Site's response

Thank you Alycia, it was lovely to meet you and your lovely children. We are so pleased you enjoyed your stay, it was lovely meet you all and hope we can welcome you back to stay again in the future. There may be more chicks next time fingers crossed :-)

Great for families and for sight seeing and adventuring

Pod - Oak PodAug 2021

We stayed here last summer for a little get away for me, my partner and our two boys, aged 6 and 1. We booked here as we were going to Chester Zoo. When we arrived we decided to go to Beeston Castle. It was only 5 minutes away. A must visit! We had also planned to go to the Ice Cream Farm too after the Zoo, but we were there all day! So missed it on this occasion. The site is only 5 minutes from the closest village, which has a lovely park for the children to run wild. The site itself was quiet, plenty of room for the kids to run around too, the shower block was clean and basic, but we managed even with a one year old. We did try the power showers in the portacabins the morning we were coming home. Absolutely great! We are definitely coming back to the site next year. The pods were clean and great for a little break. Inside includes a mini fridge, kettle, mugs and plates etc, a little heater (we didn't use) a vanity cupboard and the bed with two chairs and the pull out beds.

Lovely stay
