A note from the site themselves...

Gatton Waters was started from scratch by our parents, James ("Bub") and Carolyn Donaldson, in 1988 and grew to be a much-loved site, appreciated for the warm welcome extended to all of our guests, its beautiful location and the calm and tranquil environment.

Unfortunately, due to our Dad's poor health, things had to be scaled back, but after a very successful relaunch in 2023, we are continuing to work hard to revitalise the site and bring it back to its former glory. We will continue the tradition of an adult only site, committed to a peaceful escape from the outside world and look forward to doing justice to the great site our parents built.

VW-Type Campervan - Optional Electric Grass PitchesSep 2025

As it was the end of the camping season, we managed to book an overnight stay just a couple of hours before we arrived. There were lots of spaces as it was mid week. We were greeted with a friendly smile and shown our spot overlooking the lake. The facilities were nearby. The sunset over the lake was simply beautiful. The facilities were clean and adequate. There was some noise from the nearby road during the day but it was very quiet throughout the night. We would definitely come here again.

VW-Type Campervan - Optional Electric Grass PitchesAug 2025

We stayed on pitch 78 which had direct access to the lake, a water point within 1 minute and spotless facilities within a few minutes walk. Mark showed us to our pitch and couldn't have been more helpful. Lovely, quiet, friendly site in a great location. Worth noting the early morning alarm call from the geese and a very slight traffic noise in the background but neither impacted our stay in the slightest. Hope to return soon!
