Convenient for Edinburgh

Absolutely brilliant time, the staff were really friendly and helpful. The showers and toilets were immaculate. Our stay was 4 nights Mon to Fri, there was (not that I used them) a kitchen with a microwave to prepare food, washing facilities for your dishes, there was a washing machine, clothes dryer and a shop which sold a lot of what you wanted. The site is due to be upgraded in the autumn to include a family washroom with a bath. But 10/10 all around, definitely recommend and only about 25 minutes away from Edinburgh and 10 mins from Livingston with retail outlets.

Last minute

Last minute stay. Unfortunately, we felt that there nothing to do on site, apart from a small public kitchen room with a microwave/fridge tv etc., Directly in flight path from Edinburgh airport.

Thank you for your feedback. We're sorry to hear that you didn't feel that there was anything to do on site. Although we may be a small campsite, there is lots to do nearby including visiting Scotland's capital, Edinburgh. The local village of East Calder is a short walk from the campsite and there are many places to eat locally or some can even be delivered directly to the pitch.

Good campsite

This park is ideal for travellers to stay during August for the Edinburgh Fringe or concerts. There is a bus stop about a mile away that takes you into Edinburgh. Edinburgh Airport is close by and you are aware of planes flying in and out. Also noise from road, but not too disturbing. Overall, we did enjoy our stay.

Great place to stay, very clean and tidy

We had a great time. Good location close to travel to local attractions. Nice, quiet clean and well-maintained site. We will be back

Brilliant weekend away with friends

Lovely, quiet, clean and convenient to Edinburgh. Would definitely stay again.

Great value and clean

Stayed here for two nights and the park was immaculate! We got the tram to BT Murrayfield, which was £3.60 and taxi to watch Beyoncé. Hotels in local area were £440 and I couldn't fault this place. Just one tiny bit of feedback, the showers are so up and down, I did burn myself so use them early before anyone else is using them.

Hidden gem

First impressions were great. The lovely lady at reception made us feel very welcome and explained everything well. Close to Edinburgh airport, but not close enough to be disturbed by any noise. Immaculately kept site with everything needed to have a lovely stay. Shame it was only for the night.

A fantastic site, clean friendly and very accommodating.

Very helpful

Very nice park, with lots of facilities and the staff are very friendly and welcoming. Very nice pub in the nearby town (40 min walk) that is dog friendly and does good food.

1st time here and would stay again. Very clean and relaxed site close to attractions and great amenities.

Lovely site

This is a very well-kept site. It feels spacious with plenty of space for caravans, motor homes & tents. Received a warm welcome on arrival. Toilets feel modern & very clean. Showers are hot & start/stop (no push buttons). Camper's kitchen well laid out & includes books, games, DVDs you can borrow. On the flight path, loved seeing all the planes. Didn't find it noisy though. Lots of places nearby to visit. A lovely site to visit for a weekend or a week. Will be back.

Excellent stay!

Excellent location! Close to the park & ride to get into Edinburgh, and the facilities were great. Everything was clean and the staff super friendly and helpful. We really enjoyed our stay!

Always a spotless and well organised site

Friendly and welcoming staff. Pitches are well kept and the site is clean and well maintained. Facilities are top notch and convenient - modern and spotlessly clean. Quiet location but very convenient to all amenities and Edinburgh. Have used this site before and will again as it is a great halfway point stop-off before venturing further into Scotland. Dogs allowed. Fully recommend.

Super campsite close to Edinburgh

Great location for walks in the countryside, along the canals and also convenient for visiting Edinburgh.

Brilliant

Just enjoyed a 2 night stay and we would definitely recommend. We had a friendly warm welcome and when I asked for a different pitch to the one allocated, it was no problem at all. Also borrowed an extension lead as only after the tent was up we realised ours wasn't long enough. There was a lovely walk from the park to the riverside, which delighted our 3 and 5 year old grandkids. Also Grandpa took some time out for a walk to the aqueduct. There are a lot of aeroplanes since we were in the flight path however this added to the excitement for them, especially our 2 year old who popped in for a visit. Oh and the chickens were definitely a hit for them! Keep up the good service guys and we will definitely be back in the spring.

Good base

This was a great spot for us to handover our van. It was quiet and facilities were clean, would stay again.

Absolutely perfect campsite. Everything you need and more, will stay again.

Nice peaceful campsite

Email from campsite day before giving clear instructions on how to get to site which was really helpful. Nicely laid out campsite. Site owners helpful and friendly. Excellent walks around the area and maps supplied showing choices of walks. Kitchen facilities and area for kids to meet up. Lots of water points beside bays. There were only 3 showers in female block and 2 in male block as one was broken. 2 washing up points outside. Site did not offer more facilities than other places that we have been to, which we felt didn't warrant the higher charge that we had to pay.

Wee trip to Edinburgh with the kids

Had a great stay, so handy for days out in Edinburgh and great location.

Lovely site to base ourselves for a visit to Edinburgh. All facilities were clean and plentiful. Staff were warm and friendly and very helpful. Would definitely stay again.
