Barcdy is a small, quiet touring caravan and camping site, offering touring and camping pitches for caravans tents and motorhomes. It lies in a secluded and sheltered vale, with wooded hills tumbling down to the rear and wide open views across the Dwyryd estuary to the front. The Ffestiniog and Welsh Highland Railways are a short car ride away at Porthmadog.
About the site
Situated in the Snowdonia National Park between the sea and the mountains, Barcdy is the ideal base for visiting a wide variety of attractions. The lovely little seaside town of Harlech, with its castle and miles of golden sand, is a short distance away and the famous village of Portmeirion lies just across the estuary. Barcdy first welcomed visitors some sixty years ago and is ideal for families - guests love to see children playing happily for hours in these natural surroundings. Grass pitches offer electric and a selection of fully serviced hardstanding pitches are also available.

Site rules and policies
Please read this information about Barcdy before you book:
Peace and quiet
Barcdy is a very quiet park where families and couples come to relax in peace and where a good night's sleep is taken for granted. Rowdiness or loud music is not acceptable here at any time of the day or night.
Groups
We do not accommodate groups of young people because we understand their need to have fun and our expectations regarding noise would be too much to expect of them. The only exceptions are Duke of Edinburgh Award students who are always tired and fall asleep very quickly!
Children
Children are welcome to bring bicycles with them as long as they take care around the park and do not ride near the toilet buildings.
Dogs
We made the difficult decision to exclude dogs from the touring caravan and camping areas mainly in the interest of cleanliness. The benefits have been greatly appreciated by our guests. In fairness, we cannot allow the dogs of day visitors to the park on these fields either, inside cars or otherwise. If any visitors happen to arrive with their dog, they may park their car, with dog inside, near Reception during the visit. Please ask us for guidance.
Ball games
Ball games should not be played anywhere except the football field. The football field should be vacated by 10:30pm each night. It is the parent's responsibility for their children. After 10:30pm we ask for noise to be at a minimum on the park
Speed limit
The speed limit on the park is 10 mph and it is paramount for everyone's safety and peace of mind that this is always observed.
Camp fires
Barbecues and Chimineas above the ground are allowed. Please do not burn the grass or picnic tables. No fires may be lit on the ground. NO CHINESE LATERNS are allowed on the park at anytime
