It's an ideal base for hikers and cyclists with many routes surrounding the site, plus a handy bike hire service available onsite too. You will also have access to your own ensuite toilet. Outside is a patio with a BBQ for dining al fresco. Please ensure you bring your own bedding and towels if staying in any of the glamping units. If you fancy a bite to eat onsite, head over to the Manor restaurant, which serves a range of tasty cooked meals and treats. There's also a handy off-licence shop for any forgotten essentials, plus a play area and games room for the kids. The site welcomes up to two dogs per camping pitch and one dog in the dog friendly camping pods. Raised fires and BBQs are also permitted onsite.

VW-Type Campervan - Grass Pitches (Optional Electric)May 2026

An outstanding site! Booked a last minute one night stopover and was very pleasantly surprised with how nice this site is! Facilities are excellent. All very well organised, and super clean. The toilets and showers felt like everything was brand new. Lovely big pitch (we were in the walled garden which was a nice quiet spot, surrounded by hedges and stone wall for privacy) Site is big enough to feel spacious but small enough that everything is close by. Location is pretty remote, so not the place if you want to be somewhere busy, but perfect for walking and countryside. Highly recommended

Large Tent - Grass Pitches (Optional Electric)May 2026

So thrilled to have found this site. It's location is perfect for exploring the moor. Bathroom facilities were lovely and so much cleaner than a lot of places we've visited. Takeaway pizza was brilliant after a long day's exploring and because the site is so quiet and calm we got to see loads of birds and wildlife which made it feel extra special.

Originally Stone Farm, the property was purchased by Samuel Lang, the brother-in-law of the Duke of Bedford. Alongside this, previous owners include the family of the writer and poet, Coleridge. The house was originally a country hotel for many years and then in the 1960's was split into two and became the camping park you see today.

The new owners, Jane and David were previously Dairy farmers from Lancashire, and have been at Langstone since 1999. Expect a warm welcome and great customer service when you visit this family friendly park!

Things to do on site and in the Tavistock area

With so much luxury countryside around, walking and cycling around the area is an attraction in itself. There are great cycle ways around Tavistock and on Dartmoor - both on the moor and purpose built cycle ways. If you need to hire bikes, delivery can be arranged to the park.

The Tamar Valley (20 minutes) is an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty, and you can see its stunning scenery by canoeing, tree surfing or, for something a little different, capturing its charm with a bit of landscape painting.

Tavistock is a bustling market town ten minutes away and is great for a sweet stroll before lunch! Shops, cafes, riverside parkland and an indoor pannier market - some great pasties to be tried in the town for a real Devon experience!

Days out at the seaside are the best in this part of the world. Here in the South West, there is an amazing coastline, and top picks would be cosy coves like Wembury (50 minutes) near Plymouth and the popular fishing seaside town of Looe, just under an hour away.

Other top attractions include:

  • Drakes Cycle Trail (20 minutes)- Tavistock to Plymouth using the old railway
  • National Trust - Buckland Abbey (20 minutes)
  • National Trust - Lydford Gorge (20 minutes)
  • The Granite Way (30 minutes) - Okehampton to Lydford using the old railway
  • National Trust - Cotehele (30 minutes)
