The main attractions on this coast are beaches, beaches, beaches! The nearest beach, South Lancing, is within a short walk, with the beaches of Worthing and Shoreham-by-Sea each a two mile walk from the site, why not take a walk on the beach at sunset? Or head west along the coast for some fun at Littlehampton's Harbour Park or to see the beauty of Bognor Regis.
For active campers, golf and swimming are all close by the campsite. Go Karting is available just outside Lancing and you'll be able to get up some serious speed on a 450m track.
Travelling east? Brighton's Lanes will tempt you with shopping and those who are brave can try jellied eels down at the front. Don't miss George IV's Royal Pavilion, the Sea Life Brighton Centre or all the great budget places to eat in the city.
Just under a mile from The Barn is Lancing which hosts a nature reserve, Lancing Ring. Worthing itself is worth mentioning as the home of Oscar Wilde and Harold Pinter, and has its own pier and seafront to rival Brighton.
There are a host of listed buildings in Worthing to explore plus the biggest museum in West Sussex, an undercover shopping centre and for mystery buffs, there's quite a legend surrounding a local haunted oak tree that dates back to the Domesday Book.
Further west Chichester offers a Norman cathedral, but also bags of Roman history, and Fishbourne Roman Palace, the biggest Roman home in Britain, is Chichester's close neighbour.
