Wern Isaf Caravan and Camping Park is a family friendly campsite set on a working farm in Llangollen. The site offers grass pitches for tents, campervans and motorhomes, as well as a small number of fully serviced hardstanding pitches, all overlooking the beautiful Dee Valley. The site is a short walk from the town centre of Llangollen, with shops and restaurants, and is a handy base for exploring North Wales and Snowdonia.

About the site


This family friendly campsite is set on a working farm in Llangollen, a small Welsh town in Denbighshire known for its stunning scenery and summer festivals. The town centre can be reached within a 15 minute walk or five minute drive, and is home to independent shops and a range of cafes, restaurants and pubs. Please note that the walk is downhill, but can be a little steep on the way back! The site is spacious, offering gently sloping grass pitches for tents, campervans and motorhomes with optional electric, as well as fully serviced hardstanding pitches. Take in views of the beautiful Dee Valley and Castle Dinas Bran from your pitch. There are plenty of opportunities for family fun nearby. Cycle along the canal directly from the site to Pontcysyllte Aqueduct, take a steam train along Llangollen Railway (5 minutes) or explore Horseshoe Falls (10 minutes). Llangollen holds many events during the summer months, such as the International Musical Eisteddfod, the Llangollen Fringe Festival, Food Festival and Gardening shows and the Hot Air Balloon Festival. It's also a convenient base for exploring Snowdonia National Park, a 45 minute drive away. Your four-legged friends are very welcome here, but campfires are not permitted.

Langollen is a five minute drive or 15 minute walk away and has a Co-op for picking up the essentials, as well as several independent shops. There are also plenty of places to grab some food or a drink, including Dee Side Cafe Bistro, Cottage Tearooms and The Corn Mill.

Welcome to our working farm in Llangollen. Everything you could want from a campsite can be done here. We have plenty of facilities, as well as an unobstructed view over the lovely Dee Valley, and the town centre is just a 15 minute walk downhill.

Our side makes an excellent touring base to explore North Wales, we can't wait to see you soon.

Things to do on site and in the Llangollen area

Directly from the site, there are scenic cycling and walking routes along the canal to both Pontcysyllte Aqueduct and Horseshoe Falls, taking roughly an hour in each direction. Keen walkers can also take a stroll up the hill to Castell Dinas Brân, the remains of a medieval fortress.

A 15 minute walk downhill leads you to Llangollen town centre, with shops, pubs, restaurants and cafes, as well as the steam powered Llangollen Railway. Don't miss the International Musical Eisteddfod, the Llangollen Fringe Festival, Food Festival and Gardening shows and the Hot Air Balloon Festival, held here during the summer months!

For history buffs, Chirk Castle is just 20 minutes away. Explore this National Trust 18th century fortress, gardens and parkland, before enjoying a treat in the cafe.
